Hi, everyone! Hope you're having a great Memorial Day! I'm just popping in to share a card I created for this week's 2 Sketches 4 You #53 Challenge. Once again, we have two *awesome* sponsors... Lawnfawn and Cathie Allen's Position-It. Speaking of Lawnfawn, have you seen their day 1 previews of the new Critters in the Sea set? Soooooo adorable!!!
I used Lawnfawn's Sew Lovely set on my card, and paper pieced the dress form. I wanted to heat emboss the paper pieced image, and used Cathie's handy Position-It tool to help guarantee perfect stamp placement!
Here's a quick tutorial for you using the Position-It:
Step 1: Stamp dressform image in black ink onto plexi glass.
Step 2: Place patterned paper on Position-It base and align under image.
Step 3: Remove plexi glass and stamp image onto patterned paper.
Step 4: Paper piece dress form.
Step 5: Align paper pieced image beneath plexi glass image.
Step 6: Remove plexi glass then stamp dress form image with versamark ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.
Instructions:
- Create green A2 card base.
- Trim patterned paper and stamp with dress form image.
- Stamp dress form image onto patterned paper, and again onto white CS.
- Cut out patterned dress and colored shoulders, then piece onto green patterned paper.
- Stamp image with Versamark and heat set with clear embossing powder.
- Adhere layer to card base, and attach flowers with pop dots.
- Adhere black rhinestones to flowers and dress.
- Stamp sentiment and flower borders, and color flower border centers with white gel pen.
- Apply stickles to edges of green patterned paper.
Supplies:
Stamps - Sew Lovely (Lawnfawn)
Paper - Simply Chartreuse, Stamper's Select White, Memory Box Jubilee
Ink - True Black, Memento Black, Copics
Miscellaneous - Black Rhinestones, Stickles, White Gel Pen, Prima Glitter Flowers
