Hi, friends and fellow crafties... :) I'm getting ready to head off to bed in a few, but wanted to pop in and share the card I created using the Home Sweet Home image from Digital Doodles. I loved the fun, whimsy shapes of the houses, and had so much fun creating my little neighborhood. :)
I had a few different ideas in my head, but knew I wanted to try to create a sense of movement with the clouds. To do this, first I lightly swiped the background stamp with a light aqua pigment ink. Then, I went back over the inked image while it was still wet, and lightly swiped the surface with a darker turquoise ink before stamping it onto white CS. It ended up creating some light shadows around the clouds, and gives it the impression of a windy day... At least to me! *wink* :)
Have a great one! :)
Instructions:
- Create white A2 card base and stamp with cloud background image. Round upper corners.
- Stamp polka dot image on green CS strips, then cut hills with craft knife. Distress edges.
- Adhere one hill to card base, then attach second with pop dots.
- Stamp sentiment in black ink onto strip of yellow CS, then adhere to card front.
- Print house digi image, color with Copics and cut out.
- Adhere houses to card base, and embellish with black multiliner Copic.
Supplies:
Stamps - Home Sweet Home (Digital Doodles), Clouds (Hero Arts), Polka Dot Basics 2 & Vintage Basket Sentiments (Papertrey Ink)
Paper - Lemon Tart, New Leaf, Stamper's Select White
