CASE Study's 4th Anniversary Hop
Can you believe it's already CASE Study's 4th Anniversary? Time sure flies, doesn't it?? Iwona has put together an amazing series of 4 weekly "inspiration" blog hops in celebration of this milestone! Did you see all the cards from last week? They were fantastic!
Hopefully you've come to my blog by way of Jennifer McGuire's blog. (If you'd like to start from the beginning of today's hop, please click HERE.)
We're all featuring cards/projects based on inspiration... Whether it be another crafter, technique, color palette, you name it! For my card, I wanted to play with watercolors... I have been obsessed with all the amazing creations that have been cropping up in the crafting community lately. People have some serious skills! Me? Not so much! :) Lol... I've come to realize that I'm a very precise stamper and I like to exercise a certain amount of control over my little canvas. Well, you can forget about that when you're playing with water! :) I had a lot of fun putting my card together, but I definitely struggled with letting go. Haha
To create my card, I started with a piece of watercolor paper, and stamped a series of flowers/leaves in Versamark before heat embossing with white powder. I then colored in my design using watercolors (and couldn't. stop. messing. with it - lol), and set the layer aside to dry. The sentiment was stamped onto turquoise CS in Versamark, then heat embossed with white powder as well. I used the Double Border Scallop Die to cut a small scallop from white paper, then adhere it to the back of the sentiment strip. Once the watercolor layer was dry, I adhered it to a piece of patterned paper, and attached the sentiment with pop dots. To finish up, I embellished with green enamel dots.
Want to be entered to win for your chance at a fabulous prize? All you need to do is leave a comment on each stop along the blog hop, then link up your name in the widget in today's CASE Study post once you're done. Easy peasy!
You've got until Tuesday midnight EST to join us. The names of the winners will be announced on the CASE Study blog on Wednesday, the 20th.
