Happy Spring

Hello! I'm so happy spring is finally here... Though we started off a little rough (cold and snow), today's temps were downright gorgeous! Lol, not that I really had a chance to enjoy it, being sick as a dog and firmly planted in my bed.  But I did love the 2 minutes I was outside picking up my kiddo from the bus stop. :)

For my card today, I used a bunch of goodies from Reverse Confetti, including their Spring Fling Quick Card Panels.  These panels are awesome! I made this card a few days before I got sick, and it came together so quickly.  At first, I wasn't sure how I'd incorporate these panels into my designs because I'm such a simple stamper, but I'm totally converted now.  Love them!

To create my card, I matted one of the Spring Fling Quick Card Panels onto white CS, then adhered it to a yellow card base.  Next, I stamped one of the birds from The Tweet Life onto white CS with stazon gray ink, then colored it with watercolor pencils.  

While I was waiting for the image to dry, I die cut several banner pieces using the Double Banner Garland Confetti Cuts, and adhered them together before attaching them to the card front.  Once the image was dry, I ran it through my die cut machine using The Tweet Life Confetti Cuts, then adhered it to the QCP.  To finish up, I covered the bird's belly with stickles, then embellished with coral enamel dots.
