EBTKS - Grateful For You

Hi friends! :) Happy Wednesday... LOL, for a second there, I forgot what day it was and almost gave you Tuesday greetings again. :) I tell ya, I'm sure going to be happy when my daughter goes back to school and our routine gets back to normal. Our county just announced that there will be 2 hour delays for the rest of the week, and since my daughter is in a half day program, that means no school for her. I'm sure you're all thinking oh yay, long weekend, but in the past 3 weeks, she's been to school 1 time. It's just *insane* and I'm totally in survivor mode right now. LOL! Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter more than my own life, I just miss that little break in the morning where I had time to run a million errands, or visit my local scrapbook store (HA!), or even just go to the post office and stand in line for 45 minutes before being helped.

This card was created for the most recent Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge, which was a fabulous sketch created by Kelly.

Instructions:
  • Create 4 1/4" square card base from Terracotta Tile CS.
  • Stamp background image in Versamark ink onto 3 1/4" square aqua CS and heat set with clear embossing powder.
  • Color flower centers with white gel pen, then cut into 4 equal squares (1 5/8").
  • Layer aqua squares onto white 1 3/4" squares and adhere to card base with pop dots.
  • Stamp sentiment in brown ink, then use Nestabilities die to cut shape. Adhere with pop dots.

Supplies:
Stamps - Background Basics: Petal Power, Signature Greetings
Ink - Dark Chocolate, Versamark
Paper - Terracotta Tile, Aqua Mist, Stamper's Select White
Miscellaneous - Nestabilities Labels 9, White Gel Pen, Clear Embossing Powder

  1. HAHA - Every parent is at their wits end with the no school thing in this area! What's the LSS up there? I've never visited one in that part.

Your card is great! I love how you used the BG stamp and divided them into squares. Love the label die cut too! :)

Congrats on 2S4Y! I knew it was going to be you! :)

  2. Striking CAS card, Heather! I totally agree that the lines at the post office are always too long; that's why I often go to Simpsonville (only a little bit further to drive, and I can get some delicious pastries at Touché Touchet at the same time!).

  9. That is so funny that Jennifer said her first thought was "wow" because I had just said that myself. Honestly. What a pretty color combination. I am super impressed with the cards you make.
