Miss You

062211

Hi, everyone! Hope your week is off to a rockin' start... Today is Lindsay's last day of Kindy before summer vacation starts.  Can you believe that? Seems like just yesterday we were sending her off on the bus for the first time.  And now she's a 1st grader! Craziness.

I've been trying to find some fun things for her to do over the summer, because Lindsay and boredom do *not* mix well. LOL! Wish me luck... :P

Have a great one!

  5. I love the idea of a "non square" card. I am sure, with your creativeness, that you will find a lot of fun things to do this summer! Wish my kids were young enough that they still wanted to do things with me during the summer!

  7. Love the heart idea and the way you added the color just once :)

An idea for your daughter...we kept summer journals with the kids when they were younger...we went on a walk (usually just around the yard but not always) in search of something cool or interesting to "write about"...it was sometimes a leaf or a flower or even a bottle cap or wrapper someone had discarded! we'd bring it back, add it to the journal and write (draw when they were younger) about it...if it was a bug, we'd "study" it so it could be drawn when we returned home...sometimes they'd tell great stories, or write an "op-Ed" piece on littering! The entries weren't long but they put time into them and it helped keep the boredom in check,,,when invariably the kids started saying they had nothing to do, they'd come up with, "Let's go find something for the journal...great keepsake too! Have a good summer!
