Originally I started out making this card for the Sketch This Cards Challenge # 19. You can find the challenge here. I thought it would be fun to try to make the flower look like a star, but I still think it looks more like a flower. :)
I started with a 4" square card base in Blue Bayou, then cut a 3 3/4" square out of Soft Sky. I layered a 3 1/2" square of Whisper White on the Soft Sky, then wrapped the polka dot ribbon around the front. I stamped 5 petals in Purely Pomegranate, layed them out in the shape of a star, and adhered them to the flower center in So Saffron. I used two pop dots to give the flower some dimension, then stamped my sentiment in Blue Bayou.
Details:
Stamps - Pick a Petal, Polka Dots & Petals, KF Snap Stamps 1/8 Casual
Ink - Purely Pomegranate, So Saffron, Blue Bayou
Paper - Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Whisper White
Miscellaneous - Green Ribbon w/Polka Dots
Oooh I love that stonking flower and the teeny greeting, so pretty! The colours are fab, and I have a ton of the lime green/white polka dot ribbon - I hoard this one as it is just soooo nice! Maybe I should start using it. :o) hehe
