SC169 - Thanks So Much Card

This card was created for the SC169 Sketch Challenge on SCS. You can find the original thread here.

I started with a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" card base of Barely Banana. I then stamped the Dot Background in White Craft Ink onto the CS, and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

Next, I cut out the various layers: Certainly Celery (3 x 4"), floral patterned paper (2 3/4 x 3 3/4"), Pretty in Pink (2 3/4 x 3 1/4"), pink/green patterned paper (2 x 3"), Barely Banana (1 3/4 x 4"), and Whisper White (1 1/2 x 3 3/4"). They were then assembled, the ribbon was attached to the pink layer after scalloping the bottom edge, and all were adhered to the card base.

Then I realized, D'oh!, I probably should've stamped my image before I stuck it down. I don't know WHAT I was thinking, I must be out of practice... LOL Oh well! :) I inked up the stamp using my Stampin' Write Markers in Regal Rose and Certainly Celery, and crossed my fingers...

To finish up, I stamped the Thanks So Much from the Lots of Thoughts set onto Whisper White CS, and punched it out with the small oval punch. I also punched another small oval out of Certainly Celery CS and attached it to the back of the WW oval, then adhered them to a large Pretty in Pink oval. LOL, that was wordy! :)

CC159 - I'm on a roll!

I've posted three times in three days... LOL, it's been ~months~ it seems since I've been able to do that. So fun! I'd love to be able to post daily, but my goal is to try to post more frequently than I have been since the beginning of the year. :)

This card was created for the CC159 Color Challenge on SCS, where we were to create a card using Basic Gray, Soft Sky & Whisper White. You can find the original thread here.

I started with a 4" square card base of Basic Gray. I then used my corner rounder to scallop around the edge of the front of the card... LOL, try not to notice the imperfections, OK?? :)

I then cut out my layers: Soft Sky (3 1/2" square), Whisper White (3 1/4" square), and Soft Sky DS (3 1/8" square). The Soft Sky and Whisper White layers were adhered to the card base, and Basic Gray Tafetta Ribbon was tied around the Soft Sky DS layer before attaching it to the card.

Next, I stamped the heart image onto Whisper White CS w/Basic Black ink, and once it was dry I sponged it with Soft Sky and Basic Gray ink. To finish off the card, I cut out the heart and adhered it to a piece of Basic Gray CS, then cut it out and added it to the card base with pop dots.

TLC161 - Thanks...

I can't believe I ~actually~ got a challenge card done on the SAME day it was posted... I know, I know! You're shocked and amazed! LOL... I was a little slow to get it uploaded tonight, but nevertheless, I consider it a success. :)

This card was created for the TLC161 - Flap Fold Cards Challenge on SCS. You can find the original challenge thread here.

I started with a 4 x 11" strip of Soft Sky Textured
CS, and scored it at 4 1/2 x 9". I then cut out a 4" strip of Groovy Guava Textured CS and used the Slit Punch to scallop one side before adhering it to the flap on the card, and then added the ribbons.

Next, I cut a 3 1/2 x 4 1/2" piece of the polka dot patterned paper from the Simply Scrappin' Happy Me Kit, and attached it to the card base. I cut out two 4" sticker strips from the Kit, and attached them on top of the bottom of the card base.

To finish it off, I then stamped the flower image and leaf onto Whisper White CS, adhered them to the base, then stamped and layered my sentiment using the small and large oval punches.

WSC37 - Everything to me...

This was created for Beate's WSC37 Weekend Sketch Challenge. You can find her original post here, along with a fantastic sample.

I feel like I have less time now as a SAHM than when I was "working"... LOL I certainly managed to post more often, and I had a 4 hour commute!!

I'm hoping that I'll be able to post a little more consistently going forward, so keep your fingers crossed! I have two different sets of wedding invitations that are due around the same time (Apr. 7th), and swap cards to put together/mail out in the next week, and I haven't even figured out what they're going to be yet. LOL, how do I always manage to do this to myself? Ugh, the joys of not being able to say "no"... :)

I had my second official unsubscriber the other day... Booo, hisss! LOL Just kidding... I appreciate everyone that comes here to see what I'm up to, but I understand that lives get busy and you have to really pick and choose who you want to get updates from. :) I'm not one to take it personally, but I think the dagger in my heart was "Content no longer relevant" listed as the reason. Um, ow! :P LOL No seriously, what does that mean anyway? Not up to snuff? Not producing often enough? Not having the right kinds of projects? Oy vey! :)

Just do me a favor... If you have to go, can you just pick "other"? LOL
