WT211 - My Fabulous Friend
I created this card for today's Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS. The challenge today was to use "Hot Metal" aka our iron. LOL, it took me a minute or two (or ten) to even REMEMBER where mine was! Haha, how sad is that?!
I started with a standard card base in Basic Black, then cut out a 4 x 5 1/4" Raspberry Fizz panel. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the CS, then ran it through my Cuttlebug.
Next, I cut out a small piece of fabric, and layered it on top of a piece of fusible webbing and Whisper White CS. I placed a piece of parchment paper on top of the stack and used my iron to bond the fabric to the Whisper White CS. Once that was done, I removed the parchment paper and ran the fabric/paper panel through my Cuttlebug with the Top Note die.
To finish up, I attached some Raspberry Fizz grosgrain ribbon, popped up the fabric panel on pop dots, then adhered it to the card base.
Have a great one! :)

This is so pretty! I thought it was paper until I read and discovered FABRIC! I love incorporating fabric into projects. TFS how you did it!
ReplyDeleteHeather, this bold color combination and big 'ol flowers makes for one striking card design! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOUCH...you're just too sizzling HOT! LOL. This is seriously AWESOME!! Especially when I read that was fabric and not dp!! LOVE your colors--that hot pink with the black/white/yellow--smokin'! OK, I admit that I don't usually talk like this IRL, but seriously...come on! I type what comes to mind, lol ☺
