CC223 & SC233

I created this card for Tuesday's Color Challenge on SCS. This week, the challenge was to use Baja Breeze, Ruby Red & Whisper White. I couldn't find my Ruby Red ink pad (LOL, what does that say about the state of my craft room, eh??), so I substituted Pure Poppy.

I used Papertrey Ink's Background Basics: Retro stamp set to create a partial background on the base of the card, and used my Slice to cut out the two butterfly images. I adhered the butterflies together, then added the rhinestone centers before attaching it to the card base with pop dots. I added the sentiment and I was d.o.n.e. Whoohoo! :)

Stamps - Background Basics: Retro, Mega Mixed Messages

Ink - Pure Poppy, Basic Black
Paper - Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Baja Breeze DSP
Miscellaneous - Red Rhinestones, Slice Animal Crackers Cartridge

This card was created for Wednesday's Sketch Challenge on SCS. At first I thought I might want to skip it this week because, well, I'm a chicken when I'm not sure I'll like the end results! :P LOL, I didn't want to go digging through all my patterned papers to find something that coordinated, so I figured hey, I'll just stamp some of the images in the Wise Owl set in Versamark and use that as my patterned paper. Who knew I'd end up channeling my inner Partridge Family?! (LOL, check out the bus here... My color scheme was pretty close!).

Have a great one!

Stamps - Out On a Limb, Wise Owl
Ink - Stazon Black, Pure Poppy, Versamark
Paper - Dark Chocolate, Aqua Mist, Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, Whisper White, Dark Chocolate Bitty Dots
Miscellaneous - Stickles, Stylized Silver Hodgepodge, Small Oval Punch, Kaiser Teal Pearls
