LOL, I know I know, yet ANOTHER card with In Bloom. What can I say? I am totally addicted to this set, the flower and leaf images are just so lovely! I used the most recent sketch on the Card Patterns blog as my starting point, and stayed pretty much true to the sketch, only substituting the ribbon instead of three elements along the strip of patterned paper. On a side note... I've been battling a cold for the past few days, and have just about zero motivation to cook dinner... Any good recommendations for something quick and easy to make? Have a great one!

Quick dinner idea that my daughter loves: make mini pizzas out of English muffins + pizza sauce + mozzarella cheese + toppings of choice. 10-15 minutes in a 350 oven. I think that's what I'm making tonight! :-)
ReplyDeleteget two pillsbury french bread tubes, open them up, make a slit down the center and roll out just a pinch, fill with your favorite toppings like cheese, olives, pepperoni, bell peppers etc...pinch together. Lay the bread next to each other seam side down on a baking sheet, then kind of braid them, with a knife make a few slits in the dough, then sprinkle with italian seasonings and parm cheese, bake, then slice it up and have pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce to dip in. You can always make this with chicken, tomato, pesto and cheese or whatever your favorite pizza toppings are.

ReplyDeleteWow, this card is stunning! I wasn't too attached the In Bloom set....until this card. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the combo of the stamped flower and the patterned paper--I've been looking for inspiration on how to marry the two and I LOVE this layout. Beautiful. Easy dinners--eggs and toast, grilled cheese, cold cut sandwihes, or french toast. Salad on the side, from a bag. These are in heavy rotation in our house when it's back to school time or I'm not feeling well. I like to keep a box of microwave (precooked) bacon on hand, too, to make the egg dinner special--my kids and husband love bacon, so it sells the meal. Oh, or bean and cheese burritos. --Elena
