W&W August Release - Hooray!

Hello! It's the first day of previews for the new Winnie & Walter release, and today my card is showcasing the new In a Word: Birthday Tiles Cutaways die set.  Definitely one of my favorites from this release!

To create my card, I started by first creating a white card base.  I then die cut a piece of white cardstock with the hooray die four times, leaving a large space between the third and fourth die cut.  Next, I die cut a piece of chartreuse cardstock using the large frame from the Birthday Tiles Cutaways set, discarding the outer ring.  The negative of the die was then die cut with the celebrate die.

I then adhered strips of colored cardstock behind the die cut panel, leaving some excess on the right side.  The panel was then adhered to the card base before trimming off the excess.  To finish up, the celebrate die cut was adhered to the card front, and I embellished with black enamel dots.

Reverse Confetti Blog Hop - Party Like There's No Tomorrow

Hello! It's the 8th of the month, which means it's Reverse Confetti blog hop time *AND* all the goodies we've been showcasing for the past few days are now available! Yaaas! :)

To create my card, I started by first die cutting a piece of Stone card stock using the Squared Off Cover Panel Confetti Cuts, and adhering a piece of 6x6 Under the Umbrella patterned paper behind it.  I then turned the die cut on an angle and adhered it to a Cloud White card base.  Next, I cut two 1/4" strips of Baby Blue card stock and adhered them to the card front above and below the die cut.

The dinosaur and leaf images from No Tomorrow were stamped in Versafine ink onto watercolor paper before heat setting with clear embossing powder.  The images were then die cut using the No Tomorrow Confetti Cuts and colored with watercolor markers.  Once the images were dry, they were adhered to the card front using foam tape.  To finish up, the sentiment was stamped in Midnight ink onto the smallest Pierced Round Top Layers Confetti Cuts, adhered to the card front with foam tape, then black enamel embellishments were added for extra interest.

I hope you've enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of every month for more Reverse Confetti inspiration!

RC Sneak Peek Day 2 - Hope Your Day is Magical

Hello! It's the 2nd day of sneak peeks for the Reverse Confetti July Release, and today I'm sharing this sweet card created with the new Magical Day stamp set & coordinating dies, the 6x6 Under the Umbrella paper pad, and the Pierced Round Top Layers Confetti Cuts.

To create my card, I started by first adhering a piece of floral Under the Umbrella patterned paper to a Stone card base.  Next, I stamped the princess, dragon and wand images from Magical Day in Versamark ink onto watercolor paper, then heat set the images with clear embossing powder.  Once the images were heat set, they were then colored with Zig Clean Color markers and set aside to dry.

While the images were drying, I die cut a rainbow and clouds using the Weather it Together set, adhered them together and attached them to the card front.  A piece of Cloud white card stock was then die cut using the Pierced Round Top Layers Confetti Cuts, then stamped with one of the sentiments from Magical Day.  The princess and wand images were adhered to the white panel, which was then adhered to the card front with foam tape.  To finish up, I adhered the dragon to the card base and embellished with red enamel dots.

W&W June Release - The World is a Better Place...

Hello! It's the third day of Winnie & Walter June Release previews, and on my blog today is this cheery birthday card. :)

I created this card by first spraying the Scenery: Spotty Creative Screenings with yellow color mist, then laying a piece of white cardstock on top.  Once dry, the cardstock was adhered to a white card base.  Next, I used the largest die from the Big Balloon Cutaways on light gray cardstock.  Next, sentiments from Party On with Evelin T Designs and Happy Birthday to You were stamped in black ink onto the card front.

I then adhered the negative balloon die cut to the card base using foam tape.  The In a Word: Birthday Cutaway was used on aqua cardstock, and the die cut was attached to the balloon die cut.  To finish up, I embellished with enamel dots and added a yellow die cut bow to the balloon.

The happy birthday from Happy Birthday to You was then stamped in black ink onto the balloon, and the smaller sentiment from Sentimental: Birthday was stamped in coral ink.  To finish up, the balloon was adhered to the card front using foam tape, then enamel dots were added for interest.

Hello! It's the 8th of the month, which means it's Reverse Confetti blog hop time. :) In order to make room for all the new goodies Jen has in store for RC, it means that she has to update the retirement list.  I was a bit bummed to see some of my favorites on the list, but I just *know* that many more amazing things are on the way! :)

To create today's card, I started by stamping several of the images from the Rose Garden stamp set in yellow, pink and coral ink onto a white card base.  I then went back and stamped some of the outline leaf images in Versafine black ink.  Next, I die cut a large, white circle and topped it with a piece of yellow cardstock that had been die cut with the Lacy Scallop Circles Confetti Cuts.

A dotted white circle was die cut using the Flowers for Mom Confetti Cuts, and then the sentiment from You're So was stamped in black ink.  The stamped circle was then adhered to the yellow die cut using foam tape.  Next, a banner was cut using Flowers for Mom, and topped with a die cut sentiment from You're So Confetti Cuts.  To finish up, 3/4" was trimmed from the edge of the card base, the sentiment panels were adhered to the card front and I embellished with black enamel dots.

Here are a few cards I've made with some of my favorite retiring stamps and dies...

Birthday Tweetings

Hello! I'm popping in to share a card I created using Reverse Confetti stamps and dies, including another one of my favorites illustrated by Dawn Machell, Toucan of Friendship.

To create my card, I started with an Iced Aqua card base and topped it with a piece of Stone cardstock that had been die cut with the Leaves Cover Panel Confetti Cuts.  Next, I stamped a bunch of the images from the Toucan of Friendship stamp set in Versafine black ink, then heat set them with clear embossing powder.  The images were then colored with Zig Clean Color markers and die cut with the Toucan of Friendship Confetti Cuts once they were dry.

A white circle was die cut using the Scallops 'n Circles Confetti Cuts, and then the toucan, flowers, and leaves images were adhered to the circle using foam tape and liquid adhesive.  The embellished circle was then attached to the card front with foam tape.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink onto a piece of RC Aqua cardstock, and the ends were trimmed into flag shapes and curled before adhering it to the card base.  To finish up, I embellished with silver enamel dots.

Have a great one!

RC Sneak Peek Day 1 - Happy Birthday

Hello! It's the first day of Reverse Confetti January sneak peeks, and today I'm sharing a card created using the new Cured stamp set, and the Tall Stripe Confetti Cuts and Heart Banner Confetti Cuts dies.

To create my card, I started by first die cutting a piece of Cloud White CS using the Tall Stripe Confetti Cuts die and layering it on top of a piece of pink patterned paper from the True Love paper pad.  I then adhered the panel to a Stone card base before adding a strip of Lime Green CS.  Next, I stamped one of the cutie patootie piggies from Cured in Versafine black ink and heat set the image with clear embossing powder before coloring it with Zig Clean Color markers.  I did the same with the patch of grass stamp, only I'm using it as a crown for my princess piggy. :)

Once the images were dry, I die cut them with the coordinating Cured Confetti Cuts.  One of the sentiments from Cured was then stamped in black ink onto a strip of Lime Green CS.  The sentiment strip and piggy were then adhered to the card front with foam tape.  Next, I used the Heart Banners Confetti Cuts on Piggy Bank, Lime Green and Stone cardstocks and assembled the pieces together.  The die cuts were then strung together with Charcoal Twine and adhered to the card front with foam tape.  To finish up, I embellished with light green pearls.
