Embellish Challenge w/Stitching

Hello, ello! We're only one more day away from Friday, which means only one more day to wait until I get a much needed haircut. Woot! I can't believe it's been 6-ish months since the last time I had an appointment. LOL, such a slacker!

This card was created for the current Embellish Magazine Challenge. We were challenged to create a card/project using kraft, light pink and light aqua, as well as stitching. These colors are SO pretty together, and at first I was thinking I was going to make a baby-themed card, but instead decided to use the Dance set from There She Goes. I totally *heart* these flowers!! It's a little hard to tell in the photo, but the top, middle and bottom flower are popped up with pop dots, while the other two flowers are adhered directly to the white CS. (The white CS is also popped up on pop dots.)

Enjoy your Thursday! :)

Instructions:
  • Create 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" kraft card base and round upper right corner.
  • Stamp five flower images with Memento Black ink and color with Copics.
  • Cut strip of white CS, and use paper piercer to poke holes.
  • Use bermuda bay marker to create faux stitching.
  • Adhere aqua mist ribbon to card base and stamp sentiment.
  • Attach flowers to white CS strip and adhere to card base with pop dots.
  • Embellish with rhinestones.

Supplies:
Stamps - Dance, Everyday Greetings
Paper - Kraft, Stamper's Select White
Ink - Dark Chocolate, Bermuda Bay Marker, Memento Black, Copics
Miscellaneous - Corner Chomp, Aqua Mist Grosgrain, Paper Piercer, Clear Rhinestones
