Hi, everyone! Hope your week has been fab! Things here are good, just busy with the day-to-day schtuff. :)
Do you ever have moments where you look at your kids and think, hmm, something is *different* but you just can't put your finger on it? LOL, that happened to me yesterday... I went downstairs to throw a load of laundry in, and when I came back upstairs, something about Linds had changed. I'm standing there trying to figure out what could've possibly changed in the MINUTE I was gone, and then it hit me, she chopped her bangs!! LOL They didn't look terrible, but there was definitely a section that was shorter than the rest. When I asked her about it, she said "Mommmmy, the hair was in my eyes, so I got the scissors and fixed it... Now I can see!"... LOL! She's such a stinker. I know most kids go through a hair cutting phase, and goodness knows I did as a child (just ask my mom! LOL), but I thought since she was almost 6 and hadn't done it yet that maybe she wouldn't. At any rate, it made me laugh, and her bangs are all even steven now. Albeit short, but even. :)
For today's card, I used the Friendly Flowers set from Paper Smooches. I kept things kinda simple (hahaha, I know, do I make cards that *aren't* simple??), just focusing on one of the flower and stem images.
Well, that's it for me today, but I should be back tomorrow with another post! Have a great one!

Paper - Kraft, Sweet Blush, Harvest Gold, Fine Linen, Stamper's Select White, Cosmo Cricket DeLovely

Oh my goodness. Girl that is too funny. I think all you can do is laugh. Very cute card. That is what I love about your style, you keep it simple!
ReplyDeleteLove it! The single flower on the circle is great! Tooo funny about your daughter's bangs, they are quick aren't they?! I'm sure she's adorable!
ReplyDeleteThis is simple perfection! Always love your color combinations!
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet and simple! Love it!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter cut her hair about a year ago and it took FOR-EV-ER to grow out! She had cut a long piece in the back on one side, then must have decided to do the other side to even it out! Luckily the sides of her hair were pulled up at the time, so when it was down it wasn't as noticeable. She never cut it again, but she did "trim" her brother's hair once. Kids are too funny!
Haha...I bet she is still adorable as ever. :) Love the card, great layout and color combo (as usual). Looking forward to Friday's color challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteOh boy! So I may be slightly terrified of my daughter doing that so much so that I told her if she ever did I would take her scissors away forever! :> And I may have told her preschool teacher last year not to expect me to handle it well if that ever happened by another kid to her, LOL! I've seen some really bad kid haircuts! :> Love this card today as I always love yours!
ReplyDeleteHeather - that little red leaf is design perfection! I would never have thought of it - and you just snap this simple card into something amazing with your ability to do things like that! I'm so glad your DD can *see* now! :0)!! Hope her hair grows quickly for you!
ReplyDeleteLove your card! I love how you echoed the circles in the patterned paper with the circel behind the flower. :)
ReplyDeleteWell at least when your daughter wants something she goes for it! She's a good problem solver. :D
Such a stunning card & a funny story! :)
