Thank You

Hi, everyone! How has your week been shaping up? Things here have been pretty good, though Sunday was definitely the low point in my short career as a mommy. Long story short, I ended up shutting the car door on my daughter's finger. Ugh! :( Thankfully, nothing was broken, and she was back to her normal self a short time later... But lemme tell ya, if she had told me a pony would make her feel better, I would've gone out and gotten her one... In a heartbeat.  I felt *awful*.

Anyhoo... On to today's card before I dwell too long on the image that was forever burned into my brain. :\ This card was created using one of the new Paper Smooches stamp sets released today... Folkal Points.  I love, love, love this sweet Matryoshka doll, she just makes me smile! I paired her up with some fun Basic Grey patterned paper, and colors that I normally wouldn't reach for together, but I am loving how they work together.

Well, that's it for me today... Have a great one!

Supplies:
Stamps - Folkal Points
Paper - Enchanted Evening, Simply Chartreuse, Harvest Gold, Sweet Blush, Stamper's Select White, Basic Grey Patterned Paper
Ink - Memento Black, Stazon Black, True Black
Miscellaneous - Copics, Stickles, Blue Saddle Stitch Ribbon, Limitless Layers Die

  1. Kids bounce back alot quicker than we do, glad to hear that all is well! Icecream is a definite 'fix all'... well, it is for me anyway.
Another gorgeous card Heather! How totally fab is that paper and I love how you have used the stamp, it's adorable!

  2. Being a mom is hard, and no mom is perfect, so don't be too hard on yourself! I love your card...that background paper is marvy!

  3. We have automatic doors on our van and I shut one on my daughter's hand once--she reminded me of it recently. The doors are supposed to stop if they sense something is in the way, but her hand is so tiny (like the rest of her) it just continued to shut. She was fine but we both are mentally scarred from the incident. LOL

    Lovely card!

  4. All these colors and patterns work so wonderfully together, LOVE IT!! I had that happen to my boy when he was just under a year old. Except it was the closet door and how quickly they get into those things when they are young! I shrieked when it happened and thankfully he was ok, but it was on my mind for a week!
