Hello! It's the end of the month, which means it's new release (and blog hop!) time for the Alley Way Stamps. All sets that have been previewed this week are now available in the store. For my card today, I'm showcasing the new Brain Freeze set. Hopefully you've reached my blog by way of Francine's blog. (If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop, please click here.)
To create my card, I started by cutting a panel of white CS and stamping it with the Seeing Spots background stamp in pink ink. I then stamped the large sentiment from BIG Chatter in gray ink, and fussy cut it out. Next, I stamped three of the candy images from Brain Freeze in stazon gray ink, then colored them with watercolor pens.
While the candies were drying, I adhered the stamped background layer to a piece of lime CS, then attached it to a medium gray card base with pop dots. The small sentiment from Brain Freeze was then stamped in versafine ink onto pink CS, trimmed with a banner end, then adhered to the card front. Once the candies were dry, I fussy cut them out, then covered them with a light coating of glossy accents before covering them with distress glitter. To finish up, the large sentiment and candies were adhered with pop dots, and I embellished with green gems.
Want to be entered for your chance to win the stamp sets being released this month? All you have to do is follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter widget here.
Next stop on the hop is Holly's blog. Have a great one!
