EBTKS - Grateful For You

Hi friends! :) Happy Wednesday... LOL, for a second there, I forgot what day it was and almost gave you Tuesday greetings again. :) I tell ya, I'm sure going to be happy when my daughter goes back to school and our routine gets back to normal. Our county just announced that there will be 2 hour delays for the rest of the week, and since my daughter is in a half day program, that means no school for her. I'm sure you're all thinking oh yay, long weekend, but in the past 3 weeks, she's been to school 1 time. It's just *insane* and I'm totally in survivor mode right now. LOL! Don't get me wrong, I love my daughter more than my own life, I just miss that little break in the morning where I had time to run a million errands, or visit my local scrapbook store (HA!), or even just go to the post office and stand in line for 45 minutes before being helped.

This card was created for the most recent Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge, which was a fabulous sketch created by Kelly.

EBTKS - Sweet Baby

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great Friday... We had a couple inches of snow last night, so schools were delayed 2 hours this morning... LOL, long story short, no school for my girlie today because she's attends half-day. Roads looked find to me, but hey, what do I know? *wink*

This card was created for the most recent Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge. The challenge was to create a card/project using wrapping paper. My card didn't end up a thing like what I originally thought I was going to do... Funny how that happens sometimes, eh?

It's a little hard to see in the photo (LOL, I feel like I've been saying that a lot lately), but there is a strip of glitter above and below the ribbon.

Any big plans for the weekend? My hubby is working tomorrow, so my daughter and I will just be hanging out with the pupster.

PSA - If you're submitting cards to CARDS and Paper Crafts, don't forget that the deadlines for submissions are coming up! (CARDS @11:59pm MST on the 10th, Paper Crafts @midnight MST on the 11th).

Have a great one! :) I'm hoping to be back later today with a 2 Sketches 4 You card...

Instructions:

  • Create A2 card base using textured CS.
  • Cut three 1" x 4" strips of wrapping paper, and layer onto yellow CS.
  • Arrange strips on card base and adhere.
  • Add two strips of Scor-tape to bottom of card base (leaving enough room for ribbon) and sprinkle with glitter.
  • Add another strip of Scor-tape and ruffle yellow ribbon.
  • Use die cut machine to punch out butterfly shape, stamp with sentiment and add rhinestones.
  • Attach butterfly to card base with pop dot.

Supplies:
Stamps - Mega Mixed Messages
Ink - Fresh Snow
Paper - Bazzill Textured CS, Raspberry Fizz, Lemon Tart
Miscellaneous - Wrapping Paper, Lemon Tart Grosgrain, Glitter, Clear Rhinestones, Sizzix Butterflies Die

EBTKS - Delight Yourself...

Hi everyone! I'm getting ready to head off to bed, but wanted to post the challenge card I made using the sketch from Everything but the Kitchen Sink this week.

I stamped 4 large medallions and 4 small medallions in Versamark ink, then heat embossed them with white embossing powder. I then added a strip of Aqua satin ribbon, and layered it onto Aqua Mist and Kraft card stock. To finish up, I cut out a 3 1/2" circle with my Slice machine, stamped the sentiment in Olive ink, distressed the edges and added the bow.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have an awesome Thursday! :)

Supplies:
Stamps - Giga Guide Lines, Guide Lines 2, Plain Janes (Verve)
Ink - Old Olive, Versamark
Paper - Kraft, Aqua Mist, Stamper's Select White, Ski Slope DSP
Miscellaneous - Aqua Satin Ribbon, Slice Machine, White Embossing Powder, Distresser
