Thanks SO Much...

So... My daughter turned two on Mother's Day, and to say that she is a spirited child would be putting it mildly. LOL She is the sweetest little girl, but oooooh my goodness she has a fierce temper, especially when you don't want her to do something that she has her heart set on doing. She's not quite ready for potty training yet, but doesn't want to wear diapers either. See my dilema?? Letting her run around naked wouldn't be a ~huge~ deal if say we lived in a locker room. Unfortunately, we don't. :P

Today, she thought it would be fun to rip off her diaper repeatedly while we were at Church. LOL... I wasn't there while this was happening, but was informed when we went to get her that Lindsay wasn't wearing anything under her dress because she wouldn't keep her diaper on. You just never know what's coming next! Apparently we're going to be putting her in jeans or jean shorts she can't unfasten for the next bajillion Sunday's until she's moved on to her next obsession. :)

Here's another quickie that's super easy using Fun & Fast Notes... I think this little birdie is just too cute! :) I started out with a Groovy Guava card base, and cut out my other layers: Certainly Celery DS 4 x 5 1/4", Soft Sky DS 3 3/4 x 5". I used my corner rounder to scallop the top and bottom edges of the Soft Sky DS paper. I then attached them to the card base, and stamped my sentiment in Basic Gray.

Next, I cut out two strips of paper (Groovy Guava and Groovy Guava DS), and attached the Basic Gray ribbon before adhering the strips to the base.

Lastly, I layered my Certainly Celery and Soft Sky CS, and colored in my Fun & Fast Notes stamped image before attaching it to the layers, and then onto the card base with pop dots. Super simple, but cute!

Details:
Stamps - Fun & Fast Notes, So Many Sayings
Ink - Soft Sky, Groovy Guava, Basic Gray, Certainly Celery
Paper - Groovy Guava, Certainly Celery DS, Soft Sky DS, Groovy Guava DS, Soft Sky, Certainly Celery, Whisper White
Miscellaneous - Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon

  2. I feel your "pain" teeheehee! My oldest daughter was very spirited by my youngest truly takes the cake! We call her "Three Year Old- Extreme!!!" Anyway, she often does not want to wear her diaper either but does not want to stop long enough to use the potty. We have taken to using pull-ups in the day (although this is a bit expensive) then putting "big girl panties" over the top of her diaper at night. So far it is working for us.... Good luck!

Your story made me chuckle...I'm sorry. Been there done that, times three.

  6. This is adorable! Great colors and I love the scallops.

I feel your pain with your daughter. Potty training was my least favorite task to date. One of mine is now a teenager so I could change my mind. ;)

  7. Isn't God good to us by not giving us more than we can handle? Although potty training is a year or two off for us I don't look forward to it. Thanks for sharing your experiences. :-)

    Your card is adorable!

    Smiles,
    NG.

So glad my two are past the potty training stage, I really wouldn't want to go back through all that again. Hope your daughter gets the hang of it soon.

My Lucas did the same thing once he knew how to open those diapers it was all over. Good thing he was potty trained fast.

  13. I had to LOL at your daughter. My oldest was the same way. Unfortunatly we had several wall murals done by him when he was supposed to be napping from about 18 - 20 months. I thought about acutally duct taping the diaper to him???

I love the Fun and Fast Notes bird. I think it is my favorite in the set. Great card!
