CC134 - Thing of Beauty

Tuesday's SCS CC134 Color Challenge was to create a card using River Rock, Chocolate Chip and Blue Bayou. At first I thought this color combo was going to be really similar to CC127, where we were supposed to use Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou and Sahara Sand. The two couldn't have been more different. It's so funny that changing just one color, even if only slightly, can really alter the look of the card.

I started with a 5 1/4" square card base of River Rock Textured CS, then cut out my other layers: Chocolate Chip (5" square), Blue Bayou (4 7/8" square), and Very Vanilla (4 3/4" square). Once my layers were cut out, I used my ticket corner punch on the layers, then adhered them together.

Next, I stamped the main image in Stazon Brown on Very Vanilla CS, and colored it using River Rock and Blue Bayou ink. LOL, the image is actually of Dandelions, but I thought they'd be pretty colored in blue. :P

While I was waiting for my image to dry, I stamped my sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink, then cut out my image layers: River Rock (2 5/8" square) and Blue Bayou (2 3/4" square). I adhered my image to the layers, then attached them to the card. To finish up, I added some Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon before adhering my card front to the card base.

Details:
Stamps - Delicate Dandelions
Ink - Stazon Brown, Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou, River Rock
Paper - River Rock Textured CS, Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou, River Rock, Very Vanilla
Miscellaneous - Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon, Ticket Corner Punch
