I was at the store the other day and came across a box of Pumpkin Spiced Tea... I thought it would be a great "little something" to give out to some of my friends, but couldn't really decide how I wanted to package it.
I started playing around with a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" piece of card stock, and this is what I came up with. It holds three wrapped tea bags perfectly, and the lid could either be tied with a piece of ribbon, or wrapped with a band (shown here).
Once I had the boxes scored and cut out according to my template, I started on the main image. I stamped the large flower from True Friend in Versamark ink on 2 1/8 x 2 3/8" pieces of Glossy White CS, then sprinkled it with Clear Embossing Powder before heat setting. Once all of the images were done, I colored them in with various inks. I then adhered them to a coordinating piece of 2 1/4 x 2 1/2" CS before attaching them to the box.
Then, I cut out strips of 3/4 x 8" pieces of CS for my lid bands, then scored them before wrapping them around the lid. I then attached a piece of Chocolate Chip or Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon and finished them off by adhering the sentiment (stamped in Chocolate Chip ink onto CS and clear embossing the entire oval).
I took a photo of the template, and I'll try to get that posted later with the dimensions.
