Kreate-a-lope Blog Hop

Today a few friends and I are having some fun with a cool product called the Kreate-a-lope®. It's an envelope template that does not require scissors, tracing, or measuring of any kind and it was created by Nick Romer.

Nick is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to relaunch the Kreate-a-lope® and raise funds and awareness for this must-see tool. If you want to support the campaign, you can see a short video and learn more here: http://www.greensneakers.com/kick2 or you can visit his site, GreenSneakers.com.

I started with an 8x8 sheet of patterned paper, so tearing along the edges to create my envelope wasn't really an option for me (the A2 card size template is just slightly smaller than 8" square).  Since I started with an odd size paper which didn't leave much of a margin, I used a ruler and a craft knife to quickly zip around 2 sides of the paper to trim off the slight edge.  All in all, it took about 20 seconds to trim, fold and adhere my envelope together! :)

I dressed up my envelope with heat embossing in white, yellow and pink, to tie in with the card design.  I don't usually coordinate my envelopes with additional stamping/decorating, but it really was a lot of fun to create a matching set and is something I'm sure I will continue in the future! :)
