Hello! :) We're doing things a little differently this month for Winnie & Walter's August release, and having one single blog hop. The blog hop started over at the Winnie & Walter blog, so if you'd like to start at the beginning, please click HERE. Otherwise, hopefully you've made it to my blog by way of Gayatri's blog.
For our projects today, we're featuring all three new sets being released! My first card features the new A Tree for All Seasons set.
To create my card, I started with a green card base, and stamped the leafy treetop in versamark before heat embossing with white powder. Next, I die cut a scallop border from gray CS, then attached it to the card front. The sentiment was then stamped in versamark and heat embossed on mint CS before adhering to the card front with pop dots. To finish up, I embellished with black enamel dots.
For my next project, I created a fun Halloween tag with the new Moonlight stamp set. To create my tag, I started with a piece of mint CS which was cut into a tag shape, and stamped the background with Happy Halloween in Versamark. then stamped the main sentiment in dark gray ink. Next, I stamped the web image in Versamark, then heat embossed with white powder. I then stamped the larger spider with Versamark, then heat embossed it with green powder before outlining it with a watercolor pencil. To finish up, I added a fun green/white twine snake braid, and embellished with black enamel dots.
For my last project, I created a mini-card using the large house image from This Awesome House. The image was stamped with waterproof ink, then colored it in with watercolors. While that was drying, I stamped the swag with waterproof ink, then colored it with watercolors as well. Once everything was dried, I assembled the pieces and added glossy accents to the windows/door.
Each of the stops on today's hop will be giving away a stamp set of the winner’s choice
from August Release. Winner will be
picked randomly from those who comment from August 29, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. CST
until August 31, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Leave a comment, and you could win! :)
