Hello! :) Today marks the first of the sneak peek days for Winnie & Walter's April/May release. For our projects today, we're featuring the new the Big, the Bold and Comfort / the Big, the Bold and Friends sets, which are more great additions to the "the Big, the Bold and..." series. I can't get enough of these sets! I've said it before, but I really love the size of the main font, it's so great for so many different applications.
To create my card, I started by die cutting part of my sentiment using the Big, the Bold and Friends Cutaways on dark coral CS. I then used the Cover Model: Multifaceted Cutaway (more info to come later this week) to cut the panel for the background, which was then adhered to a light pink card base.
I then adhered some of the pieces that had been punched out back into the panel, then covered them with a good smattering of Winks of Stella glitter. Next, I stamped the remainder of the sentiment from the Big, the Bold and Friends in gray ink onto light gray CS. The die cut and stamped sentiments were then adhered to the card base before embellishing with orange gems.
I giggle every time I look at this card, I can't tell you how much time changing my mind has cost me! ;) Originally, I wasn't going to use any of the pieces that had been punched out on my card, so I popped them all out and put them in a pile for the trash. You should've seen me going back through the pile trying to find the matching pieces. Does this fit? Nope! What about this one? Nope! Lol... :P
Would you like to be entered for your chance to win the sets revealed today? Please hop over to the Winnie & Walter blog for more details! :)
Have a great one!
Such fun, Heather. Been there, done that for this card: http://rieslingmama.blogspot.de/2015/01/faux-gelli-for-ric.html. Had die cut it four times and wanted to mix/match. Ugh! But, the graphic wow is totally worth it ;)
ReplyDeleteLOL....but you have a nice card now :-) Will try it with a watercolors background and another die of the sâme kind. If you don't mind ;-)
