Stamptember: Heidi's Bloom w/Winnie & Walter

Hello! I'm popping in to share a card I created using Winnie & Walter's collaboration Simon Says Stamp set, Heidi's Bloom.  This set features a ginormous flower and many coordinating flower centers which can be used in so many different ways... Paper piecing, watercoloring, layering, etc.  Love, love, love all the many looks this stamp set offers! :)

To create my card, I started by heat embossing the large bloom and leaf images multiple times onto a piece of watercolor paper.  I then colored in the images with watercolor paints, and set them aside to dry.  I then die cut 5 large sentiments using the In a Word: Hello Cutaways on white and yellow CS. Once they were all cut out, I adhered 4 white CS sentiments together, then offset the yellow CS when attaching it to the top.

Once the flower and leaf images were dry, I went back and added a background wash to the paper.  Since I'm impatient, I heat set the paper to help it dry, then adhered it to a light gray card base.  To finish up, I adhered the sentiment to the card front and embellished with fuchsia enamel dots.
