December SFYTT - Good Cheer Headed Your Way

Happy December 1st! :) It's the start of a new month, which means it's also time for a new Reverse Confetti sketch challenge.  

To create my card, I started by first adhering a piece of gray tree patterned paper from the Very Merry paper pad to a Cloud White base.  I then adhered a strip of striped patterned paper from the Warm Heart paper pad to the bottom of the card front.  Next, I stamped the bear and tree images from Bearing Gifts in Versafine ink onto watercolor paper, then heat set the image with clear embossing powder.  The images were die cut using the Bearing Gifts Confetti Cuts, then colored with Zig Clean Color markers.  

Once the images were dry, they were adhered to the card front using foam tape.  I then used the Tag Me Confetti Cuts on a piece of Iced Aqua CS, then stamped one of the sentiments from Bearing Gifts in black ink.  The sentiment strip was then adhered to the card front with foam tape.  To finish up, I embellished with blue enamel dots.

25 Days of Tags w/Reverse Confetti - Merry Christmas

Hello! I'm so happy to be participating in Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags Day 23 event today using some of my favorite Reverse Confetti stamps/dies and a fun, albeit unusual, holiday color combo. :)

To create my tag, I started by first die cutting a piece of aqua CS using the Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts, then topping it with a piece of white CS that had been die cut with the Dots Tag Layer Confetti Cuts.  I then die cut a piece of silver foil using the Wreath Confetti Cuts, and nestled a light coral die cut Swirlie inside.  

Next, I die cut the trees using the Branch Out Confetti Cuts on gray, aqua, coral, green and yellow CS, then assembled the pieces before adhering them to the card front.  The sentiment from Jolly Holiday was stamped in black ink onto a piece of light gray CS cut out using the Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts. A yellow tag topper was cut using the Hang Ups Too Confetti Cuts, then it was adhered to the tag front before tying it off with a coral bow.  To finish up, the sentiment was adhered to the tag front using foam tape, then I embellished with green enamel dots.

Crazy for Christmas - Decor & More

Hello! We're on the final day of Reverse Confetti's Crazy for Christmas event, and today's them is Decor & More.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do create at first, so I did what any self-respecting crafter would do... I walked the aisles of my local craft store! ;) While browsing, I came across this adorable unpainted tree and I just loved the touch of whimsy the tilted branches added.  

To create my project, I started by first giving the tree a base coat of white.  I then went back and painted some of the other branches navy, pink and light teal.  Once the paint dried, I sprayed the tree with a protective gloss coat, then die cut all my pieces before assembling:

Once all the die cuts were adhered to the tree, I then went back and sprayed my project again with another two coats of protective gloss coat.  Hopefully it'll stand up to wear and tear inflicted by little hands. Lol...

Crazy For Christmas - Treat Tubes

Hello! We're all getting into the Christmas spirit over at Reverse Confetti, and over the next few days we'll be sharing lots of fun project ideas.  Today's projects all center around RC's fun treat tubes, and for my project I decided to make these little cuties! My daughter is obsessed with all things pink, and when I saw these two nail polish colors from Essie, I thought they would make great stocking stuffers.  Hey, it's never too soon to start shopping, am I right?? Lol :)

To create the tubes, I started with two Treat Tubes, and filled them with some tiny styrofoam beads.  I then gently placed the bottles into the tubes, nestling them into the beads.  Next, I used Treat Tube Topper Confetti Cuts on charteuse CS, then adhered the toppers to each tube.  

Reindeer Tag:

The Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts was used on light pink CS, then adhered behind a white polka dot tag die cut from the Dots Tag Layer Confetti Cuts.  Several images from Blooms 'n Buds were stamped in black and pink inks, then die cut with the Blooms 'n Buds Confetti Cuts.  The Wheat Confetti Cuts was then used on chartreuse CS, then adhered behind the flower die cuts.  I then stamped the adorable deer from Jolly Holiday in versafine black ink, and heat set it with clear embossing powder before coloring it with zig clean color markers.  Once the image was dry, it was cut out with the Jolly Holiday Confetti Cuts, then adhered on top of the flowers.  A strip of chartreuse CS was adhered to the tag front, then the flowers and deer were attached using foam tape.  To finish up, I embellished with pink pearls, die cut a topper with one of the Hang Ups, Too Confetti Cuts dies and secured it to the treat tube with pink twine.

Snowflake Tag:

The Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts was used on dark pink CS, then adhered behind a white striped tag die cut from the Big Stripes Layer Confetti Cuts.  I then die cut several elements using the Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts on chartreuse, pink and white CS.  The snowflake pieces were adhered together, then attached to the tag front with foam tape. To finish up, I embellished with light and dark pink pearls, die cut a topper with one of the Hang Ups, Too Confetti Cuts dies and secured it to the treat tube with pink twine.

I also added a small loop of silver cord to the back of each treat tube, which will serve as a way to hang the little gifts from the Christmas tree. :)

Reverse Confetti Special Release - You Warm My Heart

Hello and happy Wednesday! The temps here have been steadily declining, and it's been downright cold lately.  I probably shouldn't be surprised, seeing as this is winter and all, but I'm missing the 40 degree temps we had just a few days ago. Lol (You know it's bad when 40 is warm!) We're gearing up for our first *real* winter storm of the season, and weather forecasters are predicting we'll be getting a good amount of snow.  That's a bummer for me as I'll have to wear something other than flip flops (haha), but our daughter *loves* the snow.  I thought this little gift would be perfect for her after she's done freezing out in the cold. ;)

We're having a special Reverse Confetti release today, and showcasing items from the new In the Bag Bundle, which includes the In the Bag Confetti Cuts and 6 clear plastic boxes, as well as the new Layered Bow Confetti Cuts.  These goody holders the perfect size for a treat!

To create my item, I first started by using the In the Bag CC on a piece of pink polka dot paper to create the liner at the base of the package.  I also used the Doin' the Wave CC on light gray and aqua CS, and adhered the pieces to the pink dot paper.  (The die cut piece comes out of the machine with perforated lines to help give nice, sharp creases, and I used a little bit of Scor-tape on the bottom to secure it to the clear packaging.)  I then added a couple packages of Ghiradelli hot cocoa and some pink heart marshmallows inside the bag before closing the top.

I then used the Thanks Tag CC on gray and white CS to create a tag, adhering the pieces together then topping with another wave die cut.  Several of the images from S'more Love were then stamped on watercolor paper using Versafine ink, then heat set with clear embossing powder before being colored with watercolor markers.  While the images were drying, I used the Layered Bow CC on pink polka dot paper and aqua CS, then assembled the bow.  A small coordinating tag was then cut from white and aqua CS, and stamped with one of the sentiments from S'more Love.

Once the images were dry, they were die cut with their coordinating S'more Love CC and adhered to the two tags.  The smaller tag was adhered directly on top of the larger tag, then the two tags were secured to the bag with aqua twine.  To finish up, I adhered the bow to the bag using Scor-tape.

Hello! It feels like it's been forever since I last posted. Lol.  For today's post, I've combined my love of Reverse Confetti's Jolly Holiday stamp set and Branch Out Confetti Cuts with something new (to me)... A diorama card! 

There are a ton of different tutorials out there, so after looking at a few I just decided to make the plunge and get started.  Most dioramas seem to be rectangular, and being the weirdo that I am, I wanted mine to be square. Haha

I used a bunch of different RC elements to create this card... Branch Out Confetti Cuts to create the tree trunks and smaller trees, and the triangle from the Layered Banner Duo CC to create the larger trees.  

I used the Double Scallop Garland CC on white and silver foil CS, and the Winter Words CC on green CS to create my sentiment.  To create the window of my diorama card, I used the largest outer snowflake from the Layered Snowflake CCs.  For a little bit of added fun, I used the smallest accent from the Layered Snowflake CCs to create mini-snowflakes and made them float in the scene using clear thread. :)

RC Blog Hop - Bring on the Snow

Hello! It's the 8th of the month, which means it's Reverse Confetti blog hop time! :) For today's blog hop, the RC team will be posting a new creation, along with three of our top faves of 2015.

To create my card, I started by cutting a piece of polka dot patterned paper and adhering it to a medium gray card base.  I then used the Doin' the Wave Confetti Cuts on white CS, and adhered the die cuts to two strips of white CS.  The larger wave was adhered directly to the card base, and the smaller wave was attached with foam tape.  The Let It Snow Confetti Cuts were used on teal CS and vellum, and the snowflakes were adhered to the card front. 

Three trees were cut from silver foil using the Branch Out Confetti Cuts, and then adhered to the mounds of snow.  The sentiment from Winter Word Coordinates was stamped in black ink onto a piece of mint CS, then attached to the card front with foam tape.  I then used the Winter Words Confetti Cuts on light gray CS, and adhered it in the snow.  To finish up, I embellished with clear sequins.
