My Little Monster

Hello! I'm popping in to share a sweet little monster card I created for the September Reverse Confetti color challenge... The colors this month are pink, yellow and gray.

Our daughter is 9, and is currently going through a monster/ thriller / suspense / scary movie phase.  She has an *amazing* imagination, and though she would tell you she's been watching "horror" movies, she hasn't seen anything beyond Are You Afraid of the Dark (a kid's tv series from the 90s).  LOL, that kiddo would NEVER sleep again if she saw anything even remotely scary (she has a hard time shutting off her thoughts, especially at night).  So, this pink, blonde haired monster is right up her alley! :)

To create my card, I started by die cutting the following shapes using the Tagged Tote Confetti Cuts: 2 pink rounded rectangles, 2 silver glitter bows, 1 gray handle, 1 hollow circle/reinforcer.  I then used the Treat Tote Confetti Cuts die on a piece of yellow CS to create her bangs, then ran it through my die cut machine again with the Tagged Totes CC to round the top.  Next, I cut out her ponytails and tooth using two of the smaller Perfectly Paisley Confetti Cuts paisleys. I adhered the yellow paisleys to one of the pink pieces of CS, and then glued the silver glitter bows to the base before attaching her bangs with pop dots.

I die cut a circle using the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts, and a smaller 1" circle (using a punch) from white CS.  I then assembled the eyes, and covered the gray CS with glossy accents.  The small white paisley was attached to the gray handle piece, and covered with glossy accents.  To finish up, the gray piece was attached to the card base with pop dots.  Once everything was dry, I adhered the second pink rounded rectangle to the back of the monster.

Want to play along with us this month? All you need to do is create a card/project using the colors above (and Reverse Confetti stamps), and link it up HERE by Noon CST on September 29th! :)

Have a great one!
