Hiya! :) Hope all is well with you this fine Friday... We're having another gorgeous day here in suburbia, but I wanted to get something posted before we head outside to enjoy the sunshine.

I created this card for the last Embellish Magazine challenge... To make a baby-themed card/project using cream, peach, yellow and green. I love, love, love this stamp from Hero Arts... It's been sitting around feeling neglected, so I figured what better time to use it than now? :)

Enjoy your day!

  • Cut two yellow scallop circles and adhere together at the top.
  • Cut a green cardstock circle and adhere to yellow scallops.
  • Stamp flower image onto cream cardstock, cut out with circle die, then stamp sentiment.
  • Stamp flower image again onto another piece of cream cardstock, color, then cut out blooms.
  • Color flower image on circle layer, then adhere to card front.
  • Add extra blooms with pop dots.
  • Adhere yellow pearls.

Embellish Magazine Blog Hop

Hi, everyone! I'm back with a card I created as part of the Embellish Magazine blog hop. Many of the designers in the premier issue are taking part, and our challenge was to create another card using brown, kraft, red and turquoise, as well as twine.

I used one of my favorite images from Hero Arts on my card, the dogwood flowers. I love, love, love these blooms! They look great stamped as a line art image, colored realistically, or even colored using bolder hues. They're just super pretty flowers.

Embellish is offering four prizes for 10 lucky winners. Be sure to stop by each of the participants blogs, and leave a comment for your chance to win! The winners will be randomly selected from each of the blog hop participant blogs, and prizes include Lawn Fawn stamps, May Arts twine, a Subscription to Embellish Magazine, and A New Design crinkly stained ribbon. Awesome, right?? :) What're you waiting for? Get your hop on! :) Up next is the lovely Regan!

Here is the complete list of participants if you'd like to start from the beginning:

Happy hopping! :)

Embellish Challenge w/Stitching

Hello, ello! We're only one more day away from Friday, which means only one more day to wait until I get a much needed haircut. Woot! I can't believe it's been 6-ish months since the last time I had an appointment. LOL, such a slacker!

This card was created for the current Embellish Magazine Challenge. We were challenged to create a card/project using kraft, light pink and light aqua, as well as stitching. These colors are SO pretty together, and at first I was thinking I was going to make a baby-themed card, but instead decided to use the Dance set from There She Goes. I totally *heart* these flowers!! It's a little hard to tell in the photo, but the top, middle and bottom flower are popped up with pop dots, while the other two flowers are adhered directly to the white CS. (The white CS is also popped up on pop dots.)

Enjoy your Thursday! :)

Instructions:
  • Create 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" kraft card base and round upper right corner.
  • Stamp five flower images with Memento Black ink and color with Copics.
  • Cut strip of white CS, and use paper piercer to poke holes.
  • Use bermuda bay marker to create faux stitching.
  • Adhere aqua mist ribbon to card base and stamp sentiment.
  • Attach flowers to white CS strip and adhere to card base with pop dots.
  • Embellish with rhinestones.

Supplies:
Stamps - Dance, Everyday Greetings
Paper - Kraft, Stamper's Select White
Ink - Dark Chocolate, Bermuda Bay Marker, Memento Black, Copics
Miscellaneous - Corner Chomp, Aqua Mist Grosgrain, Paper Piercer, Clear Rhinestones

Embellish Challenge w/Stripes

HI everyone! Hope you're having a great Thursday. :) The sky is sunny and bright here in Maryland today, just look at my photo! LOL, normally there is a lot of indirect sunlight coming through the window when I take my photos, but not today, it's full on direct sunlight. LOL :)

My daughter has a stuffed animal (a leopard named Gracie) that she normally takes with her everywhere, including school. It had been used as a fidget toy in the past, but now I think she brings it with her more out of habit. Well wouldn't you know it, she decided that she did NOT want to bring Gracie to school with her today. I'm thinking, okay, fine, no big deal. Well, today was their pajama party day... A day where the kids get to come to school in their pj's, and bring their favorite stuffed animals with them. So, while Lindsay is normally the only one *with* a toy, she is now the only one *without* a toy. LOL, she's such a pickle.

I created this card for the current Embellish challenge, which was to create a card using brown, kraft and purple, as well as stripes. Have a great day! :)

Instructions:

  • Create A2 card base using brown CS.
  • Emboss dots onto card base with Cuttlebug embossing folder.
  • Cut strip of kraft CS, stamp with brown stripes, and create bow with purple ribbon.
  • Use punch to create scallop border, attach to kraft layer, and adhere to card base.
  • Stamp sentiment onto strip of purple cardstock, then attach to card base with pop dots.
  • Embellish with rhinestones.

Supplies:
Stamps - Background Basics: Retro, Mega Mixed Messages
Ink - Dark Chocolate
Paper - Dark Chocolate, Kraft, Vintage Cream, Plum Pudding
Miscellaneous - Plum Pudding Grosgrain, Purple Rhinestones, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Scallop Border Punch

Hi everyone! Can you believe tomorrow is already Friday? I tell you, sometimes I blink and it feels like I've lost a week. LOL

I love the challenges over at Embellish, but it always seems like I run out of time before I get a chance to play. SO... I wanted to make sure I dug down deep and found some time to create something. Woot!

As soon as I saw the colors for this challenge (pink, red & black), I knew I wanted to create something with black and white photos... Why is it whenever I'm pressed for time, I always want to make something that requires *more* time than a card? LOL

Embellish Color Challenge

102809d, originally uploaded by inglishrea.

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to pop in and post my card for Embellish's Color Challenge: gray, fuschia & light pink w/bling. The little polka dots are gray, and the rhinestones are clear (though they look black in the photo... silly lighting!). If I had to do it all over again, I would've made the polka dots fuschia, I think that would've been a better contrast with the clear stones...

I'm going to run for now, I need to get my donation items together before they come knocking on my door wondering where they are. :)

Have a great one!

Supplies:
Stamps - Giga Guide Lines, Guide Lines 2, Polka Dot Basics
Ink - Sweet Blush, Fresh Snow, Raspberry Fizz, Smokey Shadow
Paper - Smokey Shadow, Raspberry Fizz, Sweet Blush, Stamper's Select White

Embellish Circle Card Challenge

101809, originally uploaded by inglishrea.

Whew, it's been a doozy of a past few days... Most notably that my laptop died. Yikes! It's working now, but I ended up losing a LOT of files I had saved. Thank God I finally got off my rear and moved all the pictures I had stored on it to my external hard drive. That would've just about killed me. :(

I've had this card sitting around waiting to be photographed, and with all the rain we've been having lately, I didn't think I was going to be able to get outside! Luckily, the constrant drizzle let up long enough for me to get out there and snap a pic. LOL, try to ignore the crooked background! I did my best to battle the wet and the wind, so this is as good as it gets today folks. LOL

This card was created for Embellish's Circle Card Color Challenge... We had to create a circle card and incorporate blue, green, white and brown. Today is the last day to get your cards entered, so I need to *hurry*! :)

Hope you had a great weekend!!

Supplies:

Stamps - Welcome Little One (Unity), Handwritten Notes (PTI)

Ink - Versamark, Stazon Brown

Paper - Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado Bitty Box, Dark Chocolate

Miscellaneous - White Buttons, Aqua Rhinestones, White Gel Pen
