MTSC50 - Thanks!

Hi everyone! :) I created this card using the most recent Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge sketch.

To make the leaf image pop out of the circle, I first stamped the leaves in spring moss ink onto white CS, then grabbed a container of SU! brads. I positioned the container on the paper, then used my xacto knife to trace around the outer edge (stopping on either side of the leaves I wanted outside) before using scissors to cut around the outer leaves. LOL, it probably would've been easier to use a Coluzzle than finding some random circular container, but I don't have one! :)

Have a great one!

Supplies:
Stamps - Background Basics: Diamonds, Background Basics: Retro, Turning a New Leaf, Woodgrain
Ink - Versamark, Fresh Snow, Spring Moss, True Black
Paper - Kraft, Spring Moss, Bermuda Bay, Summer Sunrise, Stamper's Select White
Miscellaneous - Fiskars Embossed Curve Punch

  1. Oooo - - I like these colors.....and I can't believe you cut that out that way!! That's so cool...it's so precise...and I do like the little distressing around the circle whether intentional or not, it gives it dimension and a rustic/natural feel which is great with the woodgrain - - me likey.
