And here's what I came up with using this week's sketch...

LOL, once again, please pardon my goopy stickles... I prefer to wait until they are fully dry to take my photo, but I had some errands to run and needed to take the photo and edit the image before I left. :) I used some of my favorite paper from Basic Grey (Urban Prairie), and paired it up with this sweet cupcake image.  LOL, no pun intended!

Hi, everyone! I'm back today with a card I created using this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge sketch... I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the left, but otherwise tried to keep my card pretty true.

MTSC57 - Sweet As Can Be

Good morning! Hope you're having a great day... :) So glad we've made it to Wednesday, we only have 1 more day until our 4 day weekend starts and I'll be able to sleep in a little later. Well, assuming our daughter doesn't get up with the first beam of light that comes through her window... LOL It never ceases to fail, Monday - Saturday she is up E.A.R.L.Y, but come Sunday morning, she magically decides to sleep in and we have to go and drag her out of bed for church. Haha, little stinker.

I created this card using the most recent Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge sketch, which I rotated 90 degrees to the right. I *loved* the sketch this week... I had so many different ideas floating around, but ended up playing with my new PTI goodies. LOL, they were delivered yesterday with the mail, but the hubs didn't even let me know... I found them about 5 or so hours later. LOL! Think of all the wasted time... *wink*

Have a great day!

Instructions:

  • Create A2 card base with kraft CS.
  • Use scallop punch to create border.
  • Stamp flower background onto strip of teal CS, and adhere to white scallop border. Adhere to card base.
  • Stamp cupcake image onto white CS with Memento Black ink, then color with Copics.
  • Stamp sentiment underneath cupcake, then adhere image to orange CS.
  • Apply a thin layer of Crystal Effects to cupcake top and add glitter.
  • Color white pearl with Copics, and attach to cupcake top once glitter has set.
  • Embellish with rhinestones.

Supplies:
Stamps - Baby Button Bits, Background Basics: Petal Power
Ink - Fresh Snow, Summer Sunrise, Copics, Memento Black
Paper - Kraft, Bermuda Bay, Summer Sunrise, Stamper's Select White
Miscellaneous - Pearl, Glitter, Aqua Rhinestones

MTSC55 - Celebrate Your Day!

Hey guys... Happy Monday! :) I don't know about you, but I am *tired* today. LOL, maybe that explains my flub with today's card.

I had planned on making a card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge after I dropped my daughter off at school. We get up, get ready and head out the door, and all is well. I stop by the post office, come home, take the pup out for a quick walk and am ready to get down to business. So far so good!

I'm stingy with my toner, so normally I just make a quick sketch of the sketch, but I uhh, totally messed it up and didn't realize it until *after* I made the card and uploaded it to Flickr! The green CS is actually about half the size it's supposed to be... LOL, how does that happen??

Have a great one. :)

Instructions

  • Trim kraft CS to standard A2 card base.
  • Use border punch to punch out scallop edge on brown CS.
  • Trim pink CS to 1 1/4" x 4 1/4", stamp with damask image in white ink, and adhere brown scallop strip.
  • Trim green CS to 1 5/8" x 4" and stamp with polka dots in green ink.
  • Add strip of brown ribbon to green cs, then adhere to card base.
  • Adhere pink CS to card base.
  • Cut out a circle (I hand cut a circle using the inside of a roll of Scor-tape as my template), stamp with pink damask image and brown sentiment, then distress outer edge.
  • Adhere main image to card base, and embellish with bow and rhinestones.

Supplies:
Stamps - Damask Designs, Polka Dot Basics 2, Signature Greetings
Ink - Fresh Snow, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss, Dark Chocolate
Paper - Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Hibiscus Burst, Spring Moss, Stamper's Select White
Miscellaneous - Distresser, Dark Chocolate Grosgrain, Green Rhinestones, Fiskars Scallop Punch

MTSC50 - Thanks!

Hi everyone! :) I created this card using the most recent Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge sketch.

To make the leaf image pop out of the circle, I first stamped the leaves in spring moss ink onto white CS, then grabbed a container of SU! brads. I positioned the container on the paper, then used my xacto knife to trace around the outer edge (stopping on either side of the leaves I wanted outside) before using scissors to cut around the outer leaves. LOL, it probably would've been easier to use a Coluzzle than finding some random circular container, but I don't have one! :)

Have a great one!

Supplies:
Stamps - Background Basics: Diamonds, Background Basics: Retro, Turning a New Leaf, Woodgrain
Ink - Versamark, Fresh Snow, Spring Moss, True Black
Paper - Kraft, Spring Moss, Bermuda Bay, Summer Sunrise, Stamper's Select White
Miscellaneous - Fiskars Embossed Curve Punch

MTSC44 - Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday to you! :) I created this card using the most recent Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge sketch. It's hard to see, but I used shimmer white card stock for the sentiment panel.

I've been taking my photos outside lately, and the wind was wrecking havoc on my little set-up today. :) I think it took about twenty tries to get a photo where the paper wasn't being blown all over the place! LOL

Have a great one! :)

Supplies:
Stamps - In Bloom, Birthday Basics
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Stazon Black, Memento Black, Copics
Paper - Bermuda Bay, Stamper's Select White, Shimmer White, Kiwi Kiss, Thoroughly Modern DSP
Miscellaneous - Nestabilties Labels, Aqua Rhinestones

MTSC41 - Thankful for You

Thanks for all the tips regarding yesterday's post, I really appreciate it. :)

How's your week going so far? Normally at this point in the month, I would be so busy trying to get my Dirty Dozen items created that I'd be burning the candle at both ends. I just can't seem to function unless I have TOO much to do. LOL, I almost don't know what to do with myself now that that's finished! I haven't made a card in THREE days. Gah!

This is the card I created using last week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge sketch. I switched the placement of the button, but otherwise kept her fabulous sketch in tact. If you've never played along with Mercy's sketches, you should! :)

Have a great one!

Paper - Aqua Mist, Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest, Dark Chocolate, Whisper White, Ripe Avocado Bitty Box

MTSC40 - Merry Christmas

Happy Saturday! Have any fun weekend plans? My daughter spent the night at my parent's house, the hubster is working today, and I'll be heading off to a baby shower. LOL, not mine, no big secrets being revealed here today folks. :)

I created this card using the most recent Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge sketch. Mercy has such an eye for design, and the samples are always fabulous!

LOL, this card turned out to be a bit on the busy side, and somehow I managed to put the ribbon in the wrong spot, but I still kinda like it! :)

Have a great weekend!
