Hello! It's the end of the month, which means it's new release (and blog hop!) time for the Alley Way Stamps. All sets that have been previewed this week are now available in the store. For my card today, I'm showcasing the new Neener Neener set. Hopefully you've reached my blog by way of Emily's blog. (If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop, please click here.)
To create my card, I started by creating a watercolor background using various distress inks. While the background was drying, I stamped one of the splatter images from Oh Splat in orange ink onto white CS, then fussy cut it out. Lol, you may think I'm crazy, but I totally thought the splatter image would make an awesome sea creature! :)
I then stamped three seaweed images from Gill-Friend in stazon ink, then colored them with diluted distress inks. Once the watercolor background was dry, I stamped one of the sentiments from Speak Easy in versafine black ink in the upper left corner. I then fussy cut out the seaweed, and adhered it to the layer with pop dots. I then adhered the background to a white card base using pop dots. To finish up, I adhered the creature to the card front using pop dots, then embellished with clear dimension gel.
