Hello! :) Today marks the first of the sneak peek days for Winnie & Walter's October release. There is so much to love this month, just you wait and see! :)
I created two projects for today, my first uses the new In Bloom: Renee's Leaves, and the In a Word: Thanks Cutaways. To create my card, I started by first creating a stamped background using one of the leaf images in the set, then heat embossing it with white powder. I then colored the the leaves and background using various Zig's watercolor markers.
While the image background was drying, I die cut several "thanks" from white CS, and adhered them together. Once the background image was dry, I adhered it to a medium gray card base with foam tape. A yellow CS strip was added to the card front, then the die cut sentiment was adhered partially on the strip. To finish up, I embellished with yellow-orange gems.
For my next card, I used the In a Word: Joy Cutaways, In Bloom: Hollie's Festive Florals, and Mini-Scenery: Do You See What I See? sets. To start, I repeat stamped the mini-background stamp onto white CS, then layered it onto a piece of green CS. I then die cut the "joy" from silver foil and adhered it to the stamped panel.
The wreath was stamped in light green ink, then I went over it heavily with my embossing buddy to try to prevent any stray embossing powder from sticking to the green ink. I stamped the berries in Versamark ink, then heat embossed with red powder. The wreath was fussy cut, then adhered on top of the foiled die cut with foam tape. The panel was then adhered to a mint card base, then clear sequins were added.
