I wish I could say that I was heading out to CHA like so many others today, but alas, no such luck! :( Hopefully they'll come to DC one year! LOL, a girl can dream, right? :)

I created this card for yesterday's Sketch Challenge using the Ashley's Blossoms set from My Cute Stamps. I created this card for the most recent Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 12: dark red, bright pink, cream and moss green. I just *barely* squeaked it in under the wire... I didn't have any dark red (LOL, how that's possible I don't know!) so I was waiting on the UPS guy, and then my camera tried to thwart my attempt to take a picture with a dead battery! LOL

I *love* the new Bermuda Bay color (LOL, no surprise considering my favorite colors are aqua/teal, lime green and hot pink) and wish I had gotten the pad before they made it unavailable! LOL, oh well... Guess I'll just have to keep using my markers and wait until they fix the ink pad issue! :)

Happy Monday!!

Some fun news! I'm one of the new Featured Designers for Whipper Snapper for the July & August term! Wooot! I was totally shocked when I received an email from Anna Wight asking me if I would like to be a designer... I mean, ME?! LOL, coloring in images is not my strong suit. :) Hahah, I know most people are somewhat self-deprecating, but I *mean* it. :P My friend Sandra was one of the Featured Designers for the last term, and she is amazing! She could color circles around me with her eyes closed, using nothing but a q-tip and crayola paint!! LOL

In all seriousness, I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with the new featured designers, it means so much that they would take a chance on me! :)

Isn't that always the way? When I stay up late (LOL, which is more often than not), she's up *early*, and when I'm rolling out of bed early, she sleeps in! LOL

This is the card I created using the most recent Fall-to Layout Sketch. I started with a standard card base of Aqua Mist, then cut out two smaller layers of Raspberry Fizz and Whisper White. I used one of the stamps from Park Avenue Patterns to create the background, and then punched out some flowers with two daisy punches onto Bitty Box and Dark Chocolate paper. I added some ribbon, the sentiment and pink pearls, and voila, done!

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge - Week 11

This is the card I created for the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge - Week 11. It's hard to believe that there have already been 11 challenges! Wow! Where does the time go?!

The colors for this challenge were black, leaf green, bright pink, bright red and light gray. It's a little hard to tell in the photo, but base layer is Raspberry Fizz, the scalloped layer is Soft Stone, and the layer right on top of that is Pure Poppy. It was starting to get dark outside when I snapped this photo and I've had the hardest time trying to get the colors to look correct! LOL, I'll probably just attempt to re-take the photo when there's more light! :)

This is the card I created for today's Clean & Simple Challenge on SCS. Today's challenge was to make a birthday card... Easy peasy! :)

I started with a Whisper White card base, and then stamped the large floral image from the Ashley's Blossoms set from My Cute Stamps in Memento ink. Once that dried, I colored in the flower images with Copics, punched out a Raspberry Fizz butterfly and added the sentiment.

SC235 - Wish

I created this card for yesterday's Sketch Challenge on SCS.

When I checked my email yesterday morning, I had a whole bunch of new comments on an older card I had made, and I was like, hmmmmm... LOL, it didn't take too long to figure out why when I saw yesterday's sketch and my card was one of the samples. Unexpected, but very fun! :)

The black stars on this card originally had a thin outline of dots, but after I cut all the stars out, they wouldn't fit on the Whisper White panel I'd already cut out, so I ended up chopping them off. LOL, do I know how to waste my time or what?? :)
