Countdown to Confetti: Project Life

Hello! It's the second day of sneak peeks for the January Reverse Confetti release, and today we're showcasing projects featuring the new Right Here, Right Now and Here's the Story stamp sets, plus the coordinating Documented Confetti Cuts.  For my project today, I'm also using stamps and confetti cuts that were previewed yesterday, as well as the NEW Quick Card Panels.

I know the panels were designed to be used for creating super fun and fast A2 cards, but I thought they would be *so perfect* for Project Life scrapbooking.  They are slightly larger than typical PL cards, but with the new Documented Confetti Cuts, I was able to quickly cut them down to size. Woot!

For my project today, I knew I wanted to use some photos that I took during our camping trip to Martinak State Park.  The colors/theme of the cards definitely lend themselves to Valentine's day, but being the weirdo I am, I wanted to use them in a way that's unexpected.

A little rundown on some of the ways I customized the PL layout to be my own.  On the larger photo of my daughter, I added one of the sentiments from You Make Me Smile, and added in a touch of pink and red to tie it into the Quick Card Panels.  I also used the Doin' the Wave Confetti Cuts on silver foil card stock to add a little fun to the pine cone photo.  On the Martinak State Park card, I used a Quick Card Panel, added stickles to the large heart, and embellished with the little heart trio from the new set Puppy Love.

On the next set of cards, I changed the phrase from Happy Day to Oh, Happy Day by heat embossing a partial sentiment from Here's the Story.  I also used the new Documented Confetti Cuts on a photo of some mums to create a quick little banner (by trimming off the top of the die cut piece).  One of the pups from Puppy Love was stamped in Stazon ink, then watercolored to match our big baby, Hess.  Isn't he handsome?? :) I also heat embossed a sentiment from another set being released later this week, and added a silver glitter strip.

On the next Quick Card Panel, I used the Today, month, calendar and on this date sentiments from Right Here, Right Now, as well as one of the sentiments from Here's the Story which was covered with pewter pearls.

On the last Quick Card Panel, I die cut two Love Pretty Panels (one from silver foil card stock, and one from mint), and adhered them to the front.  The love sentiment was then covered with stickles.  I LOVE these Quick Card Panels, they have a great weight (they aren't flimsy), and the designs are just super fun.  Can hardly wait to see the next set that'll be coming out in March! :)
