Happy Fall-idays with Reverse Confetti - Christmas!

Hello! I'm back again today with some Project Life cards I created for today's Reverse Confetti Happy Fall-idays Christmas event.  I had so much fun mixing and matching different items to create these cards, and I ended up with so many different pieces I didn't have a chance to use them all! :)

For my cards today, I used a mixture of older and newer stamps and dies, and I love how well they coordinate.  Here are some close ups of the cards:

Reindeer Card: This is probably my favorite of the bunch, I just *love* that adorable deer! To start, I used the Documented Confetti Cuts on a piece of watercolor paper, then added a light gray watercolor wash. Once dry, I added some aqua watercolor paint splatter.  I stamped the deer from Jolly Holiday in Versafine ink, then heat set it with clear powder before coloring with watercolors.  I die cut two trees using the Branching Out Confetti Cuts using mint and pool CS, and gold foil for the tree bases, then assembled the card.

Snowflake Card: I die cut a large white CS snowflake and smaller nesting snowflake from pool CS using the Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts.  I adhered the snowflake pieces together, then topped with a die cut gold foil heart.  I then stamped the round date image from Tinsel 'n Trim in Versamark onto pink/light coral CS and heat set the image with white embossing powder.  The snowflake was then adhered with foam tape.

Bird Card: I die cut a bunch of garland using the Circle Garland Confetti Cuts, then layering them onto white CS.  I then stamped the bird from The Tweet Life in Versafine ink before heat setting it with clear embossing powder.  The bird was then colored with watercolors, and set aside to dry.  I also stamped and die cut a masked off santa's hat using the Jolly Holiday set, then heat set and watercolored it as well.  Once the images were dry, they were die cut using their coordinating confetti cuts and adhered to the card front with foam tape.

Snow Card: I added a light pink/coral watercolor wash to the front of the card, then set it aside to dry.  Next, I die cut a large snowflake from gold foil using the Layered Snowflake Confetti Cuts.  The snow sentiment was die cut from a piece of white CS using the Winter Word Confetti Cuts, then adhered to the center of the card.  I then cut the foil snowflake in half and adhered it to the card front with foam tape.

Santa Card: I stamped the santa image from Jolly Holiday in Versafine ink, then heat embossed it with clear powder before coloring it with watercolors.  Next, I die cut a tag using the Thanks Tag Confetti Cuts and stamped it repeatedly with one of the sentiments from Tinsel 'n Trim in gray ink.  The tag was adhered to a mint card front using foam tape, then clear sequins were added.  Once the santa image was dry, I cut it out using the coordinating dies and attached it to the card front with foam tape.

Merry Christmas Card: The holly image was die cut using the Holly Confetti Cuts on gold foil, white and pink/light coral CS.  The large sentiment was die cut from mint CS using the Winter Word Confetti Cuts, then adhered to the card front.  I then stamped the smaller sentiment from Winter Word Coordinates using Versafine ink before adhering the holly die cut to the card front.

Happy Fall-idays with Reverse Confetti

Hello! Over the next few days, the Confetti Crew will be sharing some fabulous holiday projects, and first up is Halloween! :)

For my project today, I decided to create a Project Life layout documenting some of my daughter's Halloween costumes from years past.  You might say she's a big Disney princess fan. *wink* I went a little nuts with my Fuse tool, but I love how this page turned out!

Here are some detail shots of my page:

Orange CS: I heat embossed the strip of outline stars from Oh My Stars with white embossing powder.

Green CS: I stamped the spider web image from Too Cute to Spook in versamark ink.

Batty For You Card: Stamped the bat images with versafine ink before heat embossing with clear powder and coloring with watercolors.  Added an aqua watercolor wash background once bats were dry. Used the Circles 'n Scallops Confetti Cuts on green CS, then stamped it with part of the sentiment from Spooky Sentiments.  The remainder of the sentiment was stamped on an orange CS strip.

Cat Card: Several of the images from Too Cute to Spook were stamped with versafine ink before heat embossing with clear powder and coloring with watercolors.  Once dry, images were cut out with their coordinating confetti cuts.  A green watercolor wash was added to the background, then the broom was stamped and colored.  Once dry, all die cut pieces were adhered.

Aqua CS:  It's hard to see in the pic, but many of the sentiments from Spooky Sentiments and Too Cute to Spook were stamped in versamark ink to create a background.  The pumpkin and ghost images were added to fill in open spots.

Sparkle Card: Orange watercolor wash added to the background, then aqua/teal paint splatters were added.  Once dry, sentiment from Shine From Within was stamped in versamark ink and heat set with silver powder.  A banner was cut using the Star Garland Confetti Cuts, then adhered to the card front.

Spider Card: Orange, turquoise and green distress inks were blended onto watercolor paper, then drops of water were added to the front.  Once they had a chance to sit for a moment or two, they were then dabbed with a paper towel.  The Geometric Confetti Cut was then used on a piece of silver foil, then adhered to the card front.  The spider from Too Cute to Spook was stamped in versafine, heat set with clear powder, then colored.  Once dry, the image was cut out and adhered to the card.

Orange CS: I heat embossed the strip of outline stars from Oh My Stars with white embossing powder.

Green CS: I stamped the spider web image from Too Cute to Spook in versamark ink.

RC Blog Hop - Summer ABC

Hello! It's the 8th of the month, which means it's Reverse Confetti blog hop time, and today we'll be featuring items with a "Summer ABC" theme!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Veraa’s blog. (If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop, please click here.)

First things first, I also wanted to take a moment to share the winner of the PARTY HATS set from my August 1st post... The set goes toooooooooo...

Michelle, when  you have a moment, please email me with your contact information at inglishrea [at} yahoo [dot] com.

For my projects today, I created a fun thank you card using one of the Weather or Dot Quick Card Panels to make my sunburst, as well as a Project Life page.  To start, I first cut apart the green and teal triangle QCP, and layered the pieces onto mint CS (the white pieces are the backs of the QCP).  I then die cut the CS bits and pieces with a circle die, then adhered the die cut to a light gray card base.

The focal sentiment was then die cut using the Fancy Words Confetti Cuts on a piece of white CS.  The remainder of the sentiment from Fancy Words Coordinates was stamped in teal ink onto a white strip of CS, and adhered to the card base.  To finish up, I adhered the die cut words to the card front and embellished with silver enamel dots.

Next up, I created a Project Life layout to document some of the time we spent at Caladesi Island State Park in Florida a couple of summers back.  What a beautiful place! The sun was really intense that day, but we really enjoyed the time we spent there.

A little watercolor, some die cuts and blended distress inks made these 3x4 cards come together SO quickly!

Here's a close up of the cards I created...

Summer Lovin' Card - Pineapples Aplenty and coordinating Pineapples Aplenty Confetti Cuts,

I hope you've enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of every month for more Reverse Confetti inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Lisa’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers over on the Reverse Confetti blog.

Have a great one!

TAWS February Release Blog Hop - Elk Neck State Park

Hello! It's the end of the month, which means it's new release (and blog hop!) time for the Alley Way Stamps.  All sets that have been previewed this week are now available in the store.  For my card today, I'm showcasing the new Moosing You set (which is free with any $40 purchase through the month of January), as well as the Branching Out set.  Hopefully you've reached my blog by way of Francine's blog. (If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop, please click here.)

For my project today, I decided to make a Project Life/pocket scrapbooking layout (LOL, I told you I was obsessing!)... I thought the Moosing You and Branching Out sets would be a perfect fit for some of my photos from our camping trip to Elk Neck State Park.

Here are some close-ups of the page...

Photo: Moosing You

I stamped the little arrow image from Moosing You in teal ink onto a strip of aqua CS.  I then trimmed one end in a banner shape, then adhered the CS to the photo.

Elk Neck Card: Seeing Spots

To create the Elk Neck State Park card, I started with a piece of white CS, and stamped the background with the Seeing Spots stamp in teal ink.  I then covered all of the medium sized dots with stickles.  While the dots were drying, I formatted and printed the state park text, then cut it out with a circle die.  Next, I die cut a larger scallop circle from lime green CS, then adhered the die cut circle on top.  Once the stickles were dry, I adhered the scallop circle to the white CS layer with pop dots, trimming any excess from the side.

Caterpillar Photo: Moosing You; Moose Card: Crossing Lines, Moosing You;
Dog Photo: Branching Out

To create the little flower on the caterpillar photo, I stamped five leaves from the Moosing You set in stazon in, then colored them with watercolor paints.  Once they were dry, I fussy cut them out, then adhered them together in a flower shape before adding a purple enamel dot as the flower center.

To create the moose card, I started with a piece of white CS, and stamped one of the thinner stripes from Crossing Lines in light yellow-green ink.  I then stamped the moose image in stazon gray ink before watercoloring the image.  Once the moose was dry, I fussy cut it out and adhered it to the striped card.  Stickles were then added to his antlers.

Owl Card: Branching Out, Moosing You

To accent the photo of our cute pup, I stamped several hearts onto white CS, then colored them with watercolors.  Once they were dry, they were fussy cut and adhered to the photo with pop dots before stickles were added.

To create the owl card, I started with a piece of white CS, and stamped one of the birch tree images in stazon ink.  I then watercolored the trees.  While the trees were drying, I stamped the owl image in stazon gray ink, then colored it in with watercolor paints.  Once the trees were dry, I stamped the small circle images from Moosing You in purple ink to create a background, masking off the trees to avoid stamping on them.  The card was then die cut with a scalloped rectangle, and adhered to an aqua CS layer with pop dots.  I then fussy cut the owl, and adhered it to the stamped layer before covering it in stickles.

Want to be entered for your chance to win the three stamp sets being released this month? All you have to do is follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter widget here.

Next stop on the hop is Holly's blog.  Have a great one!

Winnie & Walter January Release: The Party & The Party Hangover

Hello! It's the final day of previews for Winnie & Walter's January Release, and all the goodies we've been showcasing will be available for purchase later today.  Woohoo! :) Today, we're showcasing projects made with the new The Party and The Party Hangover sets.  Lol, don't you just love the stamp set names Julie & Shay come up with?? They are the cutest!

I have become obsessed with Project Life/pocket scrapbooking layouts lately, and when I first saw the new sets being released this month, I knew they would work perfectly with the photos from our daughter's 3rd birthday. :)

Here are some close-up pics of the layout...
Floral Journaling Card: The Party stamp set

To create the floral journaling card, I started with a piece of white CS, and stamped alternating flowers from The Party in light pink and fuchsia.  I then stamped one of the sentiments from The Party in versamark ink, and heat embossed with white powder.

Hooray Card: Scenery - Classic Stars Stencil, The Party, Scenery - Stripes

To create the balloon card, I started with white CS, and covered it with stars using the Scenery: Classic Stars Stencil and light gray ink.  I then stamped three balloons from The Party in stazon gray ink, then used watercolor paints to color them in.  Once they were dry, I fussy cut them out.  I then stamped three different balloon strings in light gray ink, added a little teal twine bow, and adhered the balloons with pop dots.  Next, I used the leftover circle die cut from Wednesday's card, and stamped it with one of the sentiments from The Party before heat embossing with silver powder.  I then stamped three accent shapes in green ink, fussy cut them out and adhered them to the card.

Birthday Wishes Card: Scenery - Stripes, The Party, and the Big, the Bold and Party

To create the birthday wishes card, I started by covering white CS with stamped images of the medium thickness solid line from Scenery - Stripes in versamark before heat embossing with white powder.  I then lightly painted over the lines with pink and yellow-orange watercolor paint.  Next, I stamped birthday and wishes from the Big, the Bold and Party ink teal ink, fussy cut them out, then covered them with stickles.  Once they were dry, I adhered them to the watercolored layer.  To finish up, three accent shapes were stamped in green ink, fussy cut, and adhered to the layer before embellishing with stickles.

Birthday Hat Card: The Party, The Party Hangover

To create the birthday hat card, I started with a piece of white CS, and stamped it with the curly line from The Party Hangover in aqua/teal, pink and light gray.  I then stamped the striped portion of the hat in light pink, then stamped the base of the hat in teal.  The hat was fussy cut and adhered to the card with pop dots before embellishing with a green enamel dot.
