Hello! Just popping in to share a fun little card I created using the Oogles and Line Upon Line sets from The Alley Way Stamps for the current Simon Says Stamps' Wednesday Challenge. This week, the challenge was to create a card based on something "new" whether it's a new job, new baby, new crafty stash, etc. For my card, I'm using some new crafty stash items (stamps and watercolors).
To create my card, I started by die cutting a circle from a piece of light gray CS. I then stamped the horned monster image from Oogles in Stazon ink, then colored him in with watercolors. While the monster was drying, I stamped a piece of coral CS with the Line Upon Line background stamp in Versamark ink, then heat embossed it with white powder.
Once the monster was dry, I fussy cut it out, then adhered him to the backside of the gray CS. I then adhered the embossed coral CS to a white card base before attaching the gray CS with pop dots. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark onto a strip of coral CS, then heat embossed in white. Both ends were trimmed into a banner shape, then the strip of CS was adhered to the card front with pop dots. To finish up, I covered the monster's ears with stickles, and embellished with yellow enamel dots.
Have a great one!
I like the monster peeking through the opening.
