Winnie & Walter January Release: Scenery - Stripes

Hello! It's the 2nd day of the Winnie & Walter January Release, and today we're featuring cards using the new Scenery: Stripes stamp set.  This set features a few different solid stripes, along with two dotted stripes and a dashed stripe.  The set is long enough to cover an A2 card vertically or horizontally, which I love! No having to worry about connecting lines and having them line up just *so*. :)

For my card today, I started with a piece of white CS, and stamped the larger dotted line from Scenery: Stripes in versamark to create a lined background.  I then heat embossed all the lines with white embossing powder.  Next, I used a paintbrush to spread some aqua watercolor paints over the lines that had been embossed.  I varied the pressure as I dragged the paintbrush across the cardstock to create varying widths, and went back over some areas as well.

While I was waiting for the white CS to dry, I stamped the large portion of the sentiment from the Big, the Bold and Party in yellow ink onto a piece of scrap white CS.  Once the ink was dry, I fussy cut out the sentiment and covered it with Stickles.  I then stamped the remainder of the sentiment in versamark onto mint CS, then heat embossed with white powder.  Once the watercolor had dried, I used a large circle die to cut out a portion of the panel, then adhered the layer to a medium gray card base with pop dots.  I then adhered the wishes sentiment with pop dots, and the mint CS directly to the card base.  To finish up, I embellished with yellow enamel dots.
