TAWS April Release Blog Hop - Greetings Earthling

Hello! It's the end of the month, which means it's new release (and blog hop!) time for the Alley Way Stamps.  All sets that have been previewed this week are now available in the store.  For my card today, I'm showcasing the new Blast Off and Phone Home sets.  Hopefully you've reached my blog by way of Francine's blog. To create my card, I started with a piece of white CS and blended various distress inks together to create my background.  I then stamped the background with the star images from Blast Off in versamark ink before heat embossing with white powder.  I then adhered the background to a mint card base with pop tape.  The rocket ship and alien were then stamped in stazon gray ink and colored with watercolor pencils.

While the images were drying, I die cut a circle from white CS, and blended a it with some distress ink and watercolors.  Once all my images were dry, I fussy cut them out and adhered them to the card front with pop dots.  To finish up, I embellished with silver enamel dots and covered the rocket window with glossy accents.
