Hello! It's the end of the month, which means it's new release (and blog hop!) time for the Alley Way Stamps. All sets that have been previewed this week are now available in the store. For my card today, I'm showcasing the new Gill-Friend set. Hopefully you've reached my blog by way of Francine's blog. (If you'd like to start at the beginning of the hop, please click here.)
To create my card, I started with a piece of white CS, and repeat stamped the hook from Gill-Friend in versamark ink before heat setting with white embossing powder. I then covered the rows of hooks with an orange/pink watercolor wash. While the image was drying, I covered another piece of white CS with an aqua watercolor wash to create the ocean for the fish. Next, I stamped the fish images, as well as several pieces of seaweed with stazon gray ink.
The images were then colored with watercolors, and then set aside to dry. Next, I die cut a circle from the striped background, and adhered the aqua CS layer to a light gray card base. The die cut CS layer was then attached to the card front with pop dots. The sentiment was stamped in versamark ink onto pink CS before heat embossing in white. All of the fish and seaweed images were fussy cut, then adhered to the card front. To finish up, I adhered the sentiment, then embellished with fuchsia enamel dots.
