TAWS Sneak Peek - Branching Out

Hello! I'm joining the other lovely ladies on the Alley Way Stamps DT today to preview the new Branching Out set.  This set has so many cute images to create a ton of different scenes, and I *love* the birch trees!

To create my card, I started with a medium gray card base, and stamped it with the smallest snowflake from Winter's Butterflies in versamark.  I then stamped several birch trees from Branching Out in versamark ink onto light gray CS, then heat embossed them with white powder before fussy cutting them.  I then adhered the cut out trees to the card base, leaving one of the branches without adhesive.

Next, I stamped the cardinal image in stazon gray ink, then watercolored the image.  Once it was dry, I fussy cut it out, and carefully separated it into two pieces.  I attached the tail piece behind the loose branch, then adhered the top portion of the bird with pop dots before covering it with stickles.  The sentiment was then stamped in versamark onto mint CS, and heat embossed with white powder.  I trimmed one end of the mint CS strip into a banner shape, then adhered it to the card front with pop dots.  To finish up, I embellished with red enamel dots.
