WT232 - Hi

I created this super simple card for yesterday's Ways to Use It Challenge: Flock!

LOL, I thought it was bad having little bits of glitter everywhere, but I think the teeny tiny fun flock fibers might give glitter a run for their money. *wink* Anyone know how to contain the strays? :P

Have a great weekend!

Stamps - Polka Dot Basics

Ink - Summer Sunrise

Paper - Summer Sunrise

Miscellaneous - Hot Pink Flock, Crystal Effects, Hibiscus Burst Grosgrain Ribbon, American Crafts Thickers

WT230 - Thank You

I created this card for today's Ways to Use It Challenge: Just Pleat It! LOL, now I keep hearing "Beat It" in my head... Over and over and Over... LOL, thanks a lot, Julia!! :P

It's a little hard to tell in the photo, but the medallion image was heat embossed with white embossing powder. This card is on the simple side, but that seems to be where I'm stuck these days!

Sorry for the super short post, but I'm off to the local scrapbook store... Should be fun toting along my 4 year old! LOL

Have a great day!

Stamps - Medallion (SU!), Ali Edwards Loving Words (Technique Tuesday)
Ink - Versamark, Stazon Black
Paper - Whisper White, Thoroughly Modern DSP
Miscellaneous - Silver Circle Brad, Bermuda Bay Grosgrain Ribbon, White Embossing Powder

WT227 - Your'e Too Kind

Happy Friday! Hope you're having a great day! We're getting ready to head down to VA for the day (my daughter gets to hang out with her BFF Nana, and I'm getting my summer hair... woot!), I'm just waiting for sleeping beauty to wake up. Isn't that always the way? When I stay up late (LOL, which is more often than not), she's up *early*, and when I'm rolling out of bed early, she sleeps in! LOL

I created this card for today's Ways To Use It Challenge: seeing double. The items I chose to repeat were the Kiwi Kiss corduroy brads.

Stamps - Medallion (SU!), Mega Mixed Messages (PTI)
Paper - Whisper White, Modern DSP
Ink - Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay
Miscellaneous - Modern Label Punch, Kiwi Kiss Corduroy Brads, Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Teal Rhinestones, Small Oval Punch

WT226 - Merry & Bright

I created this card for yesterday's Ways to Use It Challenge: Christmas in July! It's a little hard to see in the photo, but the snowflake image from the set was stamped repeatedly on the front of the card with Versmark ink.

Have a great weekend! :)

Stamps - Simple Snowman
Paper - Raspberry Fizz, Kiwi Kiss Textured CS, Whisper White
Ink - Memento Black, Copics, Versamark
Miscellaneous - Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Kiwi Corduroy Brad, Marvy Giga Scallop Square Punch, Marvy Mega Square Punch, Stickles

WT225 - Happy 4th of July

Hey folks, how's it going? I hope you had a great day and are busy enjoying the beginning of the holiday weekend! My hubby is working tomorrow, so we had a little family BBQ here today with my inlaws and my parents and little bro... It was fun, but it makes for lots of work for me since I'm the grill-master at our house. :) LOL, my husband could find a way to burn ice!

This is the card I created for yesterday's Ways to Use It Challenge: Cardboard. Nothing complicated, but that's par for the course!

Have a great one!

Stamps - Fancy Flourishes (PTI), A Year of Sweet Sentiments (Taylored Expressions)
Paper - Whisper White, American Crafts

SC234 & WT224

I created this little 4" star card for yesterday's Ways to Use It Challenge. I used my Slice to cut out two 4" Kiwi Kiss textured CS stars, and then a 3 1/2" star from some Fancy Pants patterned paper I had lying around. Aside from placing all those little silver pearls, this card took almost no time. :)

Stamps - Fancy Flourishes, Star Prints

Ink - Stazon Black, Kiwi Kiss
Paper - Fancy Pants, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Pure Poppy
Miscellaneous - Silver Pearls, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Slice Animal Crackers Cartridge

I created this card for Wednesday's Sketch Challenge. LOL, I was a little impatient waiting for the Stickles to dry, so I zapped them with my heat embossing gun... And to my surprise, the frosting got a little puffy! Woot!

Have a great one!

Stamps - Cupcake Collection
Ink - Kiwi Kiss, Stazon Black, Pretty In Pink

WT222 - It's Your Day

I created this card for Thursday's Ways to Use It Challenge, which was to create your own distressed flowers. I started with a standard card base, then used my Slice to cut out the window and white frame. Next, I stamped the largest polka dot image from Polka Dot Basics in Versamark ink, and then stamped the white flourishes on the outside and inside of the card. To finish up, I stamped the sentiment in Stazon and then added my flower to the card. LOL, it took me a little while to get it finished, but that was mostly because I kept doing silly things that caused me to have to start over... Again... and again! Practice makes perfect, right?! :P

Have a great weekend!

Stamps - Polka Dot Basics, Fancy Flourishes, Star Prints

Ink - Versamark, Fresh Snow, Stazon Black
Paper - Whisper White, Aqua Mist
Miscellaneous - Imaginesce Cha Ching Brad, Slice Noteworthy Cartridge

WT220 - Welcome Little Sprout

I created this card for Thursday's Ways to Use It Challenge... Buttons! LOL, yes, I know, less is more most of the time, but I couldn't help myself! :) This fun, whimsical tree from Unity was just screaming "button treetop please" every time I looked at it! Am I crazy because trees talk to me? LOL, maybe so!

I wanted to keep the layout pretty simple because I didn't want to draw away too much attention from my mound of buttons, so this fit the bill. To create the tree, I stamped the image twice, once onto Sweet Blush CS and again onto white CS. I colored in the tree trunk with Copics, and paper pieced it onto the Sweet Blush tree before adding the buttons.

Have a great weekend!

Stamps - Little Sprout (Unity)
Ink - Stazon Brown, Memento Brown, Copics
Paper - Kraft, Spring Moss, Sweet Blush, Whisper White
Miscellaneous - Spring Moss Grosgrain Ribbon, Key Tag Punch, Sweet Blush Buttons

WT217 - Mom

Happy Friday! :)

I created this card for yesterday's Ways To Use It Challenge. The challenge? To use Kraft CS in some way on our cards... Easy peasy!! :)

To create the card, the flower and polka dot images were stamped on the Guidelines grid paper from PTI, I folded the ribbon down on a piece of sticky strip, punched a scallop border using a corner rounder, attached all the pieces to the card base and then stamped the sentiments. Fastest.card.ever! LOL

Have a great weekend!

Stamps - Because of You, Polka Dot Basics

Ink - Hibiscus Burst, New Leaf, Stazon Black
Paper - Guidelines, Kraft, Whisper White, Hibiscus Burst
Miscellaneous - Green Grosgrain Ribbon, Prima Hydrangea, Corner Rounder, Large Oval Punch

CC216, WT216, LSC218 - Friend

Happy Friday! :) We've been going back and forth between rain and partly cloudy skies today, but it looks like the sun actually wants to come out. LOL, I'm sure by the time I get out there to play with our pup, it'll be raining again! Oh well, I'll just do what I can do. :)

I originally created this card for today's Limited Supply Challenge on SCS, but was super excited when I realized it could also be tied in to this week's Color Challenge and Ways To Use It Challenge. Whoohoo!

Have a great weekend! :)

Stamps - Because of You

Ink - Versamark, Kiwi Kiss
Paper - Whisper White, Basic Black, Kiwi Kiss DSP

WT214 - My Greatest Joy

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you're having an awesome day wherever you are! :) Temps for us are supposed to be around 70 (and no rain... woohoo!), so hopefully I'll get to spend some time outside with the fam today. :)

I created this super simple 5 x 7 page for Thursday's Ways to Use It challenge on SCS. The challenge was to create a card/project using a frame... So I thought it would be fun to place a frame within a frame. LOL

The frame around my daughter's photo was originally silver, but I didn't really like the color of it, so I tried coloring it with my lime Copic. LOL, I wasn't really thrilled with how that came out because the color wasn't intense enough, so I tried tapping my brown Stazon pad on top to add some extra color... LOL, long story longer, I ended up trying to rub that off, and then finally embossed the frame twice with UTEE. I actually liked the end result! Who would've thought?! :)

Have a great one! :)

Stamps - Technique Tuesday Loving Words

Ink - Stazon Brown, Versamark
Paper - Daisy Bucket Designs, Aqua Mist, Kraft, Whisper White
Miscellaneous - Making Memories Charmed Frame, UTEE, Lime Copic

WT211 - My Fabulous Friend

I created this card for today's Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS. The challenge today was to use "Hot Metal" aka our iron. LOL, it took me a minute or two (or ten) to even REMEMBER where mine was! Haha, how sad is that?!

I started with a standard card base in Basic Black, then cut out a 4 x 5 1/4" Raspberry Fizz panel. I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the CS, then ran it through my Cuttlebug.

Next, I cut out a small piece of fabric, and layered it on top of a piece of fusible webbing and Whisper White CS. I placed a piece of parchment paper on top of the stack and used my iron to bond the fabric to the Whisper White CS. Once that was done, I removed the parchment paper and ran the fabric/paper panel through my Cuttlebug with the Top Note die.

To finish up, I attached some Raspberry Fizz grosgrain ribbon, popped up the fabric panel on pop dots, then adhered it to the card base.

Have a great one! :)

Stamps - Friends 'til the end

Ink - Stazon Black
Paper - Basic Black, Raspberry Fizz, Whisper White
Miscellaneous - Fabric, Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Folder, Raspberry Fizz Grosgrain Ribbon, Top Note Die

Mojo78, WSC73 & WT210

I created this card for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I really liked this sketch... I had a little trouble with the rounding on the bottom of the image panel, so I cheated and put my sentiment there. LOL

Card base - Whisper White (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"), Aqua SEI Paper (1 x 4"), Green SEI Paper (3/4 x 4"), Floral SEI Paper (3 1/2 x 4")

Image layer - Brown SEI Paper (1 1/2 x 4"), Whisper White (1 1/4 x 3 3/4")

Stamps - Feel the Joy (Unity), Mega Mixed Messages (PTI)

Ink - Stazon Brown, Berry Sorbet
Paper - Whisper White, SEI Dill Pickle, Berry Sorbet
Miscellaneous - Small Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Berry Sorbet Satin Ribbon, Corner Rounder

----------------------------------------------

This card came together super fast... I created it for Friday's Weekend Sketch Challenge (
WSC73), and also tied it in with Thursday's Ways To Use It Challenge (WT210) in which we were to incorporate stickers onto our cards.

I started with a standard A2 card base, then cut out two strips of Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper. I scalloped the edge of the yellow paper, then adhered by pink layer before attaching it to the card base. Next, I used my Square Scallop Punch to punch out three shapes, then adhered them to the card base with pop dots. Then I grabbed my Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch and punched three shapes out of some of the scrap pieces of my Sticky Cuts Alpha sheet. Before dipping my butterflies in glitter, I removed the backing paper from the butterflies and adhered them to some scrap Whisper White paper. To finish the card, the butterflies were attached with pop dots, then the wings were bent up a little, and I added my sentiment. Super easy! I I love glitter, but man, that stuff is sooooo messy! Even when you think you're being totally careful and not getting it everywhere, you still find it on random things! :)

Card base - Whisper White (4 1/4 x 5 1/2"), Pink BG paper (2 1/2 x 5 1/2"), Yellow BG paper (3 x 5 1/2")

Stamps - *gasp* None!

Paper - Whisper White, Basic Grey Urban Prairie
Miscellaneous - Aqua Vinyl Thickers, Scallop Edge Punch, Square Scallop Punch, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Glitter, Sticky Cuts

WT208 - You're a friend

I made this card for yesterday's Ways To Use It Challenge over on SCS. The challenge was to create an ATC card, and a challenge it was! LOL, call me crazy, but it seems like the smaller the canvas, the greater the difficulty. I was looking at the gallery a little while ago, and there are so many great ATC's over there. Didn't seem like they had much trouble, so maybe it is just me! :) LOL You can find all the details of the challenge by clicking here.

Base layers: Basic Black - 2 1/2" 3 1/2", Raspberry Fizz - 2 1/4" x 3 1/4", Whisper White - 2 1/8" x 3 1/8"

Ink - Raspberry Fizz, Stazon Black
Paper - Basic Black, Raspberry Fizz, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss
