You Make Life Fun

Hi everyone! It is totally *hot* here today, so what better time to post a card featuring happy popsicles? LOL :)

Have a GREAT day! *hugs*

Instructions:

• Create 3 1/2 x 5 1/2" aqua card base, emboss with dots and round all corners.
• Stamp three popsicles onto white CS and color with Copics.
• Layer white CS onto orange CS and adhere to card base with pop dots.
• Stamp sentiment in black ink, cut out and adhere with pop dots.
• Apply crystal effects to popsicles.

CC230 - Guess Who...

I created this card for today's Color Challenge: Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Blush Blossom, Cameo Coral and Whisper White. At first when I saw the colors for today's challenge, I was like ummmm, I don't know if I can do this... Surprisingly, I think they're kinda cute together! LOL, now there's something I never thought I'd say! Blush blossom? Cute? ;)

I wish I could say that I was heading out to CHA like so many others today, but alas, no such luck! :( Hopefully they'll come to DC one year! LOL, a girl can dream, right? :)

I created this card for yesterday's Sketch Challenge using the Ashley's Blossoms set from My Cute Stamps. It's so hard to believe that 3 months has come and gone and that my time on their design team is up. What a great opportunity it's been, and I'm just so thankful I was able to be a part of it! I created this card for yesterday's Color Challenge (Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal & Creamy Caramel) on SCS... LOL, Caramel was the only color of the three that I had, so I substituted Taken With Teal and Summer Sunrise.

Fun news! Over the weekend, Natasha asked me if I would be interested in being a contributor for the Clean & Simple Stamping blog... LOL, I didn't hesitate before saying yes! I took a pretty huge blogging/crafting break for pretty much all of 2008 so it wasn't until I was browsing my friend Becky Carafa's blog that I was first introduced to the Clean & Simple Stamping blog back in March. I've been *hooked* ever since!! :)

CAS22 - Birthday Wishes

This is the card I created for today's Clean & Simple Challenge on SCS. Today's challenge was to make a birthday card... Easy peasy! :)

I started with a Whisper White card base, and then stamped the large floral image from the Ashley's Blossoms set from My Cute Stamps in Memento ink. Once that dried, I colored in the flower images with Copics, punched out a Raspberry Fizz butterfly and added the sentiment.

I created this card for Friday's Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS... I think that's the first time I've ever been able to finish 5 SCS challenges in one week. :) Friday's LSC was to create a card using water/sand colors, ribbon, piercing and brads. LOL, I almost forgot about the piercing and brads, so I quickly added them to my tag. :P

It's a little hard to tell, but the My Cute Stamps owl image was covered with Stickles (well, his belly anyway!). A super simple card, but I think it's kinda cute. :)

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge - Week 7

I created this card for this week's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge. The colors for the Week 7 challenge were Raspberry, Artichoke and Celery/Moss (and white if needed)... LOL, and I needed! My mojo always takes a HUGE nose dive after the fan club gallery opens on the 15th... LOL, it's kinda like a mini hibernation period before I gear up to start working on the next month's items. Suuuuuure it is! :P

I started with a standard A2 card base of Raspberry Fizz, which was stamped in Fresh Snow with the 2nd largest polka dot from Polka Dot Basics. Next, I scalloped a piece of Whisper White CS and attached it to the card base. I used one of the Nestabilities Labels Four dies to cut out a piece of white CS that I adhered to the card, then added the grosgrain ribbon and sentiment. The adorable elephant is from the Animal Crackers set from My Cute Stamps. That elephant has the sweetest little expression, I just love how happy he is! I made a little boo-boo and accidentally cut off his tail while I was trimming the image, so I just drew a replacement on with one of my pens. Shh, don't tell! ;) To finish up, I added a little sprig of leaves.

FTL41 - Friendly Birthday Wishes

I've been a bad blogger of late, but I hope you've all been doing well! :)

Both of my cards today use the Fall-to Layout Sketch #41 from the Clean & Simple Stamping blog.

I created this card using the little piece of candy from the My Cute Stamps Sweet Kawaii set. It has a bunch of yummy images that make me smile every time I look at them. And really, who doesn't love happy food?! :)

This card came together pretty quickly once I figured out the color combo I wanted to use. I started with a standard Bazzill White textured CS base, then added a small piece of Raspberry Fizz CS and green grosgrain ribbon. Next, I stamped the piece of candy three times, then colored them in with Copics. Once that was done, I cut them out and popped them up on a smaller piece of Whisper White CS.

FTL40 - Thank You

I created this card using the Fall-to Layout #40 sketch, and the Matryoshka Dolls stamp set from My Cute Stamps. My mom used to watch my daughter three days a week when I was still working outside the home, and Lindsay was forever getting into my mom's Matryoshka Dolls, so I just HAD to get this set! She loves the little nesting dolls to pieces. :)

The background image was created by repeatedly stamping the small floral image in Kiwi Kiss ink onto the card base... LOL, I thought it was going to take a while to stamp it out, but it was done in no time! :)

WSC78 - Little One

I created this card for last Friday's Weekend Sketch Challenge using the Little Forest Friends set from My Cute Stamps. LOL, I sat there for a while staring at the sketch (my mojo is gone-o), but once I decided what stamp set I was going to use, everything else just kind of fell into place.

I started out with a standard A2 card base, and stamped the teensy mushroom image randomly with Versamark ink. Next, I stamped the owl and branch image with Memento Brown ink onto Whisper White CS, and once that was dried, I colored them in with Copics. To finish up, I cut a strip of Raspberry Fizz Bitty Dot paper, punched a scallop Kiwi Kiss border, added a yellow Hydrangea flower, and punched out and pierced the sentiment. Easy peasy! LOL, just what I needed today!
